On 28 May 08 Sgt. Brockmeier requested a summons
for a seventeen year old Columbus resident to appear in Juvenile
Court for delinquency by falsification. Identifying himself
using his older brother’s name, the juvenile was arrested
on an active warrant on his brother on 27 May 08. The teenager
stated he thought his brother had a clean record and that he
used his brother’s personal information to avoid being
arrested for being underage at the Four Seasons.
On 28 May 08 Dewaine William Mayle, age 20,
Marietta, phoned the Sheriff’s Office to turn himself
in on active warrants. Arriving at 201 State Street, Marietta,
Deputy Sheriff Day noticed an odor of alcohol on Mr. Mayle.
Arrested for the active warrants, Mr. Mayle was also charged
with underage consumption of alcohol.
On 28 May 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio conducted
a traffic stop on Muskingum Drive after learning the vehicle’s
driver had a suspended license. More closely inspecting the
vehicle’s temporary tag, Deputy Travaglio noticed the
expiration date was altered with a marker. A subsequent search
of the vehicle driven by Cameron A. Fisher, age 30, Marietta,
revealed four burnt marijuana roaches under the driver’s
seat. Charged with driving under suspension, possession of
drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, Mr. Fisher was
taken into custody. When he returned to interview the passenger,
identified as David L. Lamp, age 23, 1370 Lynch Church Road,
Marietta, Deputy Travaglio saw a white powder substance around
Mr. Lamp’s mouth and that he was chewing something. Lamp
later said he ate a handful of Vicodin as to not get caught
with it and that there was a pill bottle with two other pills
that he was unable to ingest. Also arrested, Lamp was charged
with tampering with evidence and possession of drugs. Prior
to arriving at the jail, Lamp admitted he had more Vicodin
concealed under a bandage on his foot and he attempted to conceal
the pills and a small bag of marijuana in the rear of the cruiser.
As a result, Lamp was charged with additional counts of possession
of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
On 28 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded
to 712 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, after receiving a report
from Brenda Williams, age 39, stating she and her fourteen
year old daughter were both assaulted. Ms. Williams said she
was arguing with her live-in boyfriend, David Schoonover, age
45, when her daughter walked into the room. At that point Mr.
Schoonover punched the teenager in the eye and drew his fist
back as though he was going to hit her as well. Both victims
said they were in fear for their safety and stated Schoonover
nearly pulled the phone cord out of the wall before fleeing
the home. In consequence, Deputy Eddy requested warrants for
felony and misdemeanor charges for Schoonover for domestic
violence, as he has a prior conviction of the offense.
On 28 May 08 Lt. Canavan issued a citation
to Melissa D. Cornell, age 28, Econo Lodge, Belpre, for driving
under a license suspended for not paying child support. Lt.
Canavan stopped Ms. Cornell near the intersection of Millers
Lane and Sandhill Road in Marietta Township.

Office received the following warrants:
Lionel J. Hollingsworth, age 19, 1202 Colonial
Drive, Marietta, for acts of domestic violence and criminal
damaging committed on 23 Mar 08.
Gary E. Morris, age 25, 8915 State Route 144, Stewart, for
failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 19 May 08.
Kayleigh Q. Ryder, age 22, 4440 Washington Road, Albany, OH,
for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 9 May 08.
Shean Sparks, age 24, 194 Water Street, Lowell, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause
on 29 Apr 08.
Trent L. Johnson, age 37, 550 Rummer Road, Marietta, for failing
to appear for pretrial on 27 May 08.
Joshua T. Lanning, age 21, 412 Eighth Street, Cambridge, for
being in possession of an open container of alcohol on 5 May
08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Deanna Leigh Raper, age 42, 47410 State Route
7, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of her probation,
a misdemeanor. Raper was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 May 08 at 9:33 am.
Brenda Ann Miller, age 41, Route 2 North, Saint Marys, OH,
for a felony and a misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks.
Miller turned herself in to Major Winstanley at the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 28 May 08 at 10:20 am.
Andrew Jason Cordell, age 28, 130 Sassafras Place, Johnstown,
OH, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Cordell was picked
up in Delaware County by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 08 at 4:35 pm.
John Franklin Komaromy, age 58, 515 Aurora Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a felony. Komaromy was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
28 May 08 at 6:50 pm.
Cameron Andrew Fisher, age 30, Marietta, for driving under
a suspended license, possession of drugs, possession of drug
paraphernalia, for having fictitious plates and for operating
a vehicle without plates, all misdemeanors. Fisher was arrested
on Muskingum Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 08
at 7:40 pm.
David Lee Lamp, age 23, 1370 Lynch Church Road, Marietta,
for a felony charge of tampering with evidence and for misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lamp was arrested on Muskingum Drive in Marietta by Deputy
Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 May 08 at 7:40 pm.
Dewaine William Mayle, age 20, Marietta, for failure to appear,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines and for underage consumption of alcohol, all misdemeanors.
Mayle was arrested on State Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Day and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May
08 at 8:20 pm.
