On 18 May 08 Andrew Benson, age 42, 10 Silos,
Williamstown, reported an unknown suspect(s) cut the lock off
the gate to his property at 6386 Federal Road, Little Hocking,
and stole an ATV from his barn and nine guns, two bows, hunting
gear and tools from his cabin. This case remains under investigation
(790).
On 18 May 08 Taneka Sparling-Ponchak, age
31, 4525 Sparling Road, Waterford, reported her oak coffee
table was stolen from a storage building at the same address.
Suspecting a farm employee, Ms. Ponchak viewed her coffee table
inside the residence of the employee’s girlfriend. The
woman returned the table, which she said was given to her by
Lloyd D. Nicholson, age 45, 20340 State Route 60, Beverly.
Interviewed by Deputy Sheriff Carr, Mr. Nicholson admitted
taking the table and giving it to the woman who he said has
been his friend for a number of years. As a result, Deputy
Carr arrested Mr. Nicholson for theft and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
On 18 May 08 Michelle B. Casada, age 22, 61
Powell Drive Apt. 29, Parkersburg, reported over the past two
weeks she has received three cards and a letter from Kenneth
Casada, age 25, 3719 Blue Knob Road, Marietta. Ms., Casada
said a protection order forbids Mr. Casada to contact her and
that he has been placing the letter in their child’s
diaper bag. In consequence, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested
a warrant for Mr. Casada for violating the terms of a protection
order.
On 18 May 08 Carl J. Hart Jr., age 24, 442
Washington Street, Macksburg, was transported to Marietta Memorial
Hospital following an ATV accident on Nine Mile Road in Macksburg.
Witnesses reported Mr. Hart was ascending a hill when the four-wheeler
rolled over top of him, causing head lacerations.
On 18 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Joseph L. Reed, age 35, 584 Goddard Road, Cutler, for OVI and
for having an inoperable headlight. Stopped on Briggs Hill
Road, Mr. Reed had a strong odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes.
Though he claimed he only drank a few beers, Mr. Reed performed
poorly on field sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington
County Jail Mr. Reed tested .125 BAC.
On 18 May 08 Dee Wallace, age 36, 350 Barnett
Ridge Road, Belpre, reported being assaulted by her husband
Todd, age 43, earlier in the evening. Mrs. Wallace said the
couple is separating but inhabit separate floors of their home.
Upset that she was smoking, Mrs. Wallace said her husband shoved
her into a wall, struck her in the face and tossed her to the
floor by her hair. Viewing Mrs. Wallace’s injuries, Deputy
Sheriff Carr arrested Mr. Wallace for domestic violence and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 18 May 08 Daniel L. Hendrix, age 30, 565
Rinard Mills Road, New Matamoras, reported an unknown female
stole his denim Tommy Hilfiger comforter after he inadvertently
left the item at the Wash Tub Laundromat that afternoon. This
case remains under investigation (1184).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Duane Earl Little III, age 25, 2690 Milner Road, Waterford,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Little was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
May 08 at 1:50 am.
Paula Lynne Hadley, age 44, 1235 County House Lane, Marietta,
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Hadley
was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 18 May 08 at 2:10 am.
Cory David McCullors, age 20, Third Street Apt. 1, Belpre,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. McCullors was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman
Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 08 at 2:48 am.

and for having an inoperable headlight, both misdemeanors.
Reed Sims was arrested on Veto Road by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 08
at 3:37 am.
Carlos Roberto Munoz Jr., age 34, 107 Coventry Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation and for domestic violence,
both felonies. Munoz was arrested on Second Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 08
at 4:05 am.
Larry Joseph Farnsworth, age 48, 308 Sixth Street, Marietta,
for OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for
speeding, all misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 May 08 at 4:22 am.
Todd Alan Wallace, age 43, 350 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wallace Sims was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 May 08 at 6:45 pm.
Lloyd Dale Nicholson, age 45, 20340 State Route 60, Beverly,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Nicholson Sims was arrested in Beverly
by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 May 08 at 10:25 pm.
Clarence A. Wriston III, age 33, 12865 State Route 676, Waterford,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Wriston
was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 May 08 at 11:35 pm.
