On 17 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued
a citation to Shannon L. Scholderer, age 32, 38221 Zuspan Hollow,
Middleport, OH, for driving under a license suspended for not
paying child support. Deputy Lockhart stopped Mr. Scholderer
on Washington Boulevard near Lee Street in Belpre Township.
On 17 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Daniel A. Taylor, age 22, 502 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for
OVI, speeding and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel.
Despite Mr. Taylor’s claim he only drank two beers that
evening, Deputy Staats discovered a cornucopia of beer in the
vehicle, including three open Bud Light bottles and cans of
Bud Light, Busch Light and Natural Light. Mr. Taylor performed
poorly on field sobriety tests and became belligerent when
taken into custody. When transported to the Washington County
Jail Mr. Taylor tested .232 BAC.
On 17 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Simmons investigated
a domestic dispute involving Michelle L. Thompson, age 33,
4370 Fifteenmile Creek, Road, Marietta, and her live-in boyfriend
Russell L. Hanes III, age 33. Mr. Hanes claimed no assault
or threat occurred during an argument the previous evening
but he said Ms. Thompson became upset, kicked dents in a car
he bought her and she also broke a window of his truck. Ms.
Thompson did not deny causing the damage, stating that Mr.
Hanes pulled her hair when she tried to leave for the night.
Finally able to leave, Ms. Thompson said she returned that
morning and Mr. Hanes grabbed her by the hair and threw her
down the stairs of the porch and threatened to get a gun and
shoot her in the head. Determining Ms. Thompson was in fear
for her safety, Deputy Simmons arrested Mr. Hanes for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
As for the consequence of Ms. Thompson’s actions, Deputy
Simmons requested a summons for her for criminal damaging.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshua Shane Cyran, age 28, 4000 Ninth Avenue, Vienna, for
OVI, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license
and for failure to control, all misdemeanors. Cyran was arrested
on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 May 08 at 6:15 am.
Amy Marie Drumm, age 27, 38221 Zuspan Hollow, Middleport,
OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Drumm was arrested in Belpre by Deputy
Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 May 08 at 7:17 am.
Larry Edward Theobald Jr., age 54, 410 Maple Street, Marietta,
for failure to file income tax, a misdemeanor. Theobald was
arrested on Glendale Road in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 May 08 at 8:56 am.
Aaron Robert Fulton, age 22, 214 Wooster Street Apt. B, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Fulton
Sims was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 May 08 at 9:33 am.
Russell Leroy Hanes II, age 33, 4370 Fifteenmile Creek Road,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hanes was arrested
at his residence by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 May 08 at 10:07 am.
Daniel Allen Taylor, age 22, 502 Ferguson Street, Marietta,
for OVI, speeding and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel, all misdemeanors. Taylor Sims was arrested on State
Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 May 08 at 8:05 pm.
Marilyn Sims Vadakin, age 76, 120 Merryhill
Street, Marietta, for obstructing official business, for failure
to comply with
the order/signal of an officer and for failing to dim her lights,
all misdemeanors. Vadakin was arrested on State Route 7 by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 May 08 at 11:40 pm.
