On 13 May 08 a twenty-five year old Fleming
resident reported her ex-boyfriend has been phoning her off
and on since October 2007, harassing her during the phone calls
and threatened to kill her and take their son. This case remains
under investigation (1090).
On 13 May 08 the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department
transported a seventeen year old Waterford resident to Marietta
Memorial Hospital after he suffered a broken right femur during
an ATV accident. Witnesses reported the teenager has a dirt
ramp in his yard and they saw him hit the ramp at a high rate
of speed and flip his four wheeler end over end three times.
On 13 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Tucker issued
a citation to Carrie M. Thomas, age 29, 7684 County Nine Road,
Newport, for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired
in October 2007. Deputy Tucker stopped Ms. Thomas on Pike Street
near Wal-Mart in Pioneer Township.
On 13 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a
citation to Magnum G. Whipkey, age 20, 409 Oakwood Avenue,
Marietta, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Carr
stopped Mr. Whipkey on State Route 60 near milepost eight in
Muskingum Township.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
William R. Barker, age 29, 2311 Pike Street,
Parkersburg, for fishing in the Muskingum River without a non-resident
license on 25 Apr 08.
Elmer D. Harvey Jr., age 30, 3590 N. River Road, Zanesville,
for contempt of a court order on 20 Nov 07.
Alicia D. Miller, age 24, 209 Fifth Street Ext., Lowell, for
failing to appear for pretrial on 7 May 08.
Tabitha D. Way, age 26, 12786 State Route 676, Waterford,
for the theft of a debit card, a cellular phone and two watches
on 25 Apr 08.
Rodney L. Wayne Jr., age 27, 1304 Division Street, Parkersburg,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 7 May 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Joe Haught, age 28, 810 Lee Street,
Belpre, for driving under a suspended license, for possession
of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Haught was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 08
at 12:30 am.
James Ray Huey, age 28, PO Box 67, Pleasant
City, OH, for theft by deception and for passing bad checks,
both misdemeanors. Huey was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 13 May 08 at 10:44 am.
Timothy Burl Huey, age 29, 324 Mill Street Cumberland, OH,
for automobile theft and for passing bad checks, both felonies.

Jail on 13 May 08 at 10:55 am.
Larry Eugene Emerick, age 52, 110 Grandview Avenue, for violating
the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Emerick was arrested
at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 08 at 8:36 pm.
