On 10 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Mikel P. Carpenter, 130 Jackson Street, Marietta,
for traveling 76 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Staats stopped
Mr. Carpenter on State Route 550 near milepost sixteen in Warren
Township.
On 10 May 08 Tonya A. Hendershot, age 39,
146 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported her live-in fiancé Allen
R. Goff, age 51, assaulted her. While interviewing Ms. Hendershot,
Deputy Sheriff Staats noticed blood on her face and that her
left eye was swollen. Ms. Hendershot went on to explain that
Mr. Goff became violent after a discussion concerning his ex-wife,
punched her in the face several times and knocked her to the
floor. Mr. Goff was located riding his motorcycle on State
Route 339 at which time he was arrested for domestic violence
and subsequently transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 10 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested
Daniel W. Vannoy II, age 29, 819 Fourth Street, Williamstown,
for OVI. Stopped for having an expired registration and for
driving onto the sidewalk on Muskingum Drive near Linwood Avenue,
Mr. Vannoy had a strong odor of alcohol. At a loss to explain
his erratic driving, Mr. Vannoy said he was drinking beer that
evening and was driving around, looking for a friend. Following
his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Vannoy was transported
to the Washington County Jail where he tested .167 BAC.
On 10 May 08 Ryan Winebrenner, age 23, 15685
Waterford Road, Waterford, reported approximately $500 worth
of scrap aluminum siding was stolen from his property sometime
since the first of the month. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 10 May 08 Diane L. Merrow, age 53, 1310
Sandhill Road, Marietta, suffered a wrist injury after she
fell off of the utility ATV she was riding. Ms. Merrow said
she was unable to apply the brakes when the ATV started to
move backwards as she attempted to ascend a hill. Transported
to Marietta Memorial Hospital by the Reno Fire Department,
Ms. Merrow said she injured her wrist when the ATV tipped up
and she fell to the ground.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Douglas Alan Wriston Jr., age 25, 693 Wynncrest
Drive, Marietta, for OVI, possession of drugs, possession of
drug paraphernalia and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel, all misdemeanors. Wriston was arrested on State
Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 10 May 08 at 3:54 am.
Daniel William Vannoy II, age 29, 819 Fourth Street, Williamstown,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Vannoy was arrested on Muskingum Drive
in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 10 May 08 at 4:38 am.
Allen Ray Goff, age 51, 146 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Goff was arrested on State
Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 May 08 at 8:09 pm.
Nicky Lee Lamp, age 35, 41 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Lamp was arrested at New Matamoras Elementary School by Deputy
Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 10 May 08 at 10:45 pm.
