On 6 May 08 Lhan Weppler, age 49, 1820 Masonic
Park Road, Marietta, reported starting around the first of
the year a number of items in his home and barn workshop have
come up missing and he believes were stolen. Stolen items totaling
approximately $1,000 include a Craftsman saw and drill with
batteries and chargers, a large quantity of aluminum cans,
750’ of copper wire and various denominations of currency
and coins. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 6 May 08 Charlotte Cox, age 83, 316 Fourth
Street, Lowell, reported a large sum of cash has been stolen
from her over the past two months. This case remains under
investigation (1207, 1293).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Justin L. Allen, age 19, 640 Summit Road,
Vienna, for hunting without a non-resident license and for
harvesting a deer without a permit on 1 Nov 08.
Maurice Heslep, age 27, 2504 13th Avenue, Vienna, for failing
to appear for a Debtor’s Exam.
Karen L. Brugger, age 55, 108 Colonial Drive Apt. D, Belpre,
for failing to appear to serve seven days in jail on 25 Apr
08.
Jonathan E. Porter, age 29, 4152 N. Early Ridge Road, McConnelsville,
for contempt of a court order on 25 Apr 08.
Brian V. Gerken, age 53, 3438 Ontario Street, Columbus, for
inducing panic by phoning a bomb threat to Peoples Bank in
Lowell on 26 Mar 08.
Scott J. Freeman, age 26, 45307 Cross Street, Caldwell, for
failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 25 Apr 08
Clifton D. Collins, age 27, 401 Third Street, Macksburg, for
failing to appear for a change of plea hearing on 30 Mar 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher David Hopkins, age 26, 47443 Ribel
Road, Long Bottom, for two felony counts of trafficking in
drugs. Hopkins was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 May 08 at 2:07 pm.
James Scott Goodnow, age 37, 309 Fifth Street, Williamstown,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Goodnow
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 May 08 at 3:55
pm.
