On 4 May 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued
a citation to Andrew McDonald, age 42, 1824 Coral Ann, Ypsilanti,
MI, for operating a vehicle with a driver’s license that
expired in 2004 and for having license plates that expired
in April 2008. Deputy Anderson stopped Mr. McDonald near milepost
seven on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township.
On 4 May 08 Kim Pyatt, age 40, 1040 State
Route 339, Belpre, reported her three year old son was inside
a vehicle in her driveway and placed the vehicle in gear. The
1985 Mercedes, which she borrowed from a friend, rolled 140
feet over a short embankment and crashed headfirst into a tree.
The boy was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital by his parents
and later transported to Children’s Hospital. The car
sustained heavy damage (586).
On 4 May 08 Shane Haynes, age 38, 2865 Two
Mile Run Road, Cutler, reported that evening he noticed his
prescription bottles of Valium and Venaflex were missing and
he presumes they were stolen. This case remains under investigation
(586).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Freddy Dale Taylor Jr., age 37, 729 Ninth Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Taylor was
arrested on Warren Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Staats
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 08 at
2:22 am.
James Thomas Tilton Jr., age 68, 33314 State Route 7, New
Matamoras, for OVI, resisting arrest and for speeding, all
misdemeanors. Tilton was arrested on State Route 7 by Chief
Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 08 at 2:43 am.
Jason Alan Ritchie, age 23, 109 Scammel Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Ritchie
was arrested on Virginia Street in Marietta by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 4 May 08 at 4:22 am.
Beth Ellen Golden, age 41, 6627 Veto Road, Belpre, for contempt
of a court order, a misdemeanor. Golden was arrested at her
residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 May 08 at 10:21 am.
Kendrick Leshaun Baker, age 39, 1529 ½ 20th Street,
Parkersburg, for operating with an expired driver’s license
and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Baker was arrested on
State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 08 at 2:08 pm.
Joey Dean Brooks, age 19, 1358 Masonic Park Road, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Brooks was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 4 May 08 at 4:44 pm.
Justin Matthew Castin, age 30, 7166 Veto Road, Belpre, for
possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for
speeding, all misdemeanors. Castin was arrested in Barlow by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 May 08 at 5:53 pm.
Walter Franklin Chipps, age 28, 300 Fourth Street Apt. A,
Beverly, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Chipps was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Sams of the Beverly Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 08 at
7:36 pm.
