On 26 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Ray M. Danner, age 46, 1385 Sheets Run Road, Marietta, for
.17 breath OVI and for driving left of center. Stopped for
speeding and driving left of center on State Route 60, Mr.
Danner had bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol. Following
his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Danner was transported
to the Washington County Jail where he tested .181 BAC.
On 26 Apr 08 Kevin Houck, age 25, 1915 Silver
Globe Road, Marietta, reported he left his home at 10 pm the
previous evening and when he returned at 1 am and noticed his
truck was parked in a different direction than when he left.
Upon further inspection, Mr. Houck surmised that an unknown
person entered his unlocked home, took his truck keys and $40.
Then, apparently the suspect took his truck, crashed it and
returned the vehicle to his property. This case remains under
investigation (610).
On 26 Apr 08 James Mills, age 80, 197 Mills
Firehouse Road, Lower Salem, reported sometime over the past
two months an unknown suspect pulled the electrical wiring
out of the conduit in his barn at 775 Germantown Road in Lower
Salem. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 26 Apr 08 Aubrey Matyas, age 23, 510 Forshey
Road Apt. C, Marietta, reported her husband Rojak, age 30,
was creating a disturbance and she locked him outside their
apartment. At the scene, Sgt. Stackpole was informed that Mrs.
Rojak had a protection order forbidding her husband from being
in the presence of his wife. As a result, Sgt. Stackpole arrested
Mr. Rojak for violating the terms of a protection order and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 26 Apr 08 Jeannie B. Edge, age 52, 85 Lane
Road, Vincent, reported she left her residence for a short
time after unloading items from her vehicle and placed them
on her porch and when she returned a suitcase and a black bag
containing two laptop computers were missing. This case remains
under investigation (707).
On 26 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued
a citation to Amos J. Hendershot, age 43, 14501 County Nine
Road, New Matamoras, for pulling a trailer with only on functioning
brake light. Deputy Anderson stopped Mr. Hendershot at the
intersection of Greene Street and State Route 7 in Newport
Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tami Sue Harrell, age 45, 2750 State Route 266, Stockport,
for OVI, for having defective exhaust and for not wearing a
seat belt, all misdemeanors. Harrell was arrested in Beverly
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 2:41 am.
Micah Alan Arrington, age 20, Route 1 Box 96A, Ravenswood,
WV, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Arrington
was arrested on the camps of Marietta College by Officer Travaglio
of the Marietta College Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 7:25 pm.
Kasey Nicholas Gray, age 22, 726 Sixth Street, Marietta, for
furnishing alcohol to underage individuals and for disorderly
conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Gray was arrested
on the campus of Marietta College by Officer Travaglio of the
Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 7:25 pm.
Michael Dykema Lomas, age 19, 7485 Sunview Drive SE, Grand
Rapids, MI, for underage consumption of alcohol and for possession
of drugs, both misdemeanors. Lomas was arrested on the camps
of Marietta College by Officer Travaglio of the Marietta College
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 7:25 pm.
Giuseppe Antonio Russo Jr., age 20, 1093 Harvester Street
SE, Grand Rapids, MI, for underage consumption of alcohol,
a misdemeanor. Russo was arrested on the camps of Marietta
College by Officer Travaglio of the Marietta College Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
26 Apr 08 at 7:25 pm.
Rebecca Sue Harding, age 21, 39155 Low Gap Road, Dexter City,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Harding was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 8:10 pm.
Melvin Ray Danner, age 46, 1385 Sheets Run Road, Marietta,
for .17 breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors.
Danner was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 08
at 8:50 pm.
Rojack Anthony Matyas, age 30, 510 Forshey Road Apt. C, Marietta,
for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Matyas was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Stackpole of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 8:55 pm.
Ronald Dean Welch Jr., age 38, 209 Fearing Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Welch
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Apr 08 at 9:35 pm.
Bryan Patrick Hvizdzak, age 31, 100 Luke Chute Road, Waterford,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hvizdzak
was arrested turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Mankins and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 08
at 11:40 pm.
