On 24 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to the scene of an attempted suicide in Newport. Prior to the
arrival of Deputy Norman the Newport Fire Department transported
the twenty-two year old female to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for treatment and evaluation.
On 24 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued
a citation to Aaron S. Petrie, age 30, 936 Hocking Road, Little
Hocking, for operating a vehicle with license plates that expire
in October 2007. Deputy Anderson stopped Mr. Petrie on US 50
near State Route 618 in Belpre Township.
On 24 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Malone requested
a summons for Richard Bailey, age 51, 10260 State Route 550,
Vincent, for disorderly conduct. Investigating an argument
at the residence, Deputy Malone witnessed Mr. Bailey erupt
in anger and begin cussing and yelling.
On 24 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Little Hocking resident
to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by theft.
Earlier in the day the assistant principal at the Washington
County Career Center reported he questioned the juvenile about
a stolen laptop and the student admitted taking the computer
around Christmas last year.
On 24 Apr 08 Katrina Nolan, age 36, 2146 Sandhill
Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in an argument with
her boyfriend while the two traveled in her vehicle and he
also assaulted her when they arrived at her boyfriend’s
home. Ms. Nolan stated her boyfriend, Michael Roux, age 36,
26115 State Route 7, Marietta, was drinking beer in violation
of protection order and repeatedly threw her to the ground.
Viewing the injuries to Ms. Nolan’s wrist and face, Deputy
Sheriff Norman arrested Mr. Roux for domestic violence for
violating the terms of a protection order and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
On 24 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Cutler resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by drug possession.
The assistant principal at the Washington County Career Center
reported the juvenile had a bag of marijuana in his possession.
The juvenile admitted to Deputy Anderson that the marijuana
was his, he has smoked marijuana for the past three years and
he smokes it every day.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Christopher Fortney, age 19, 4350 State Route 530, Lowell,
for failure to appear, breach of recognizance and for violating
the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Fortney was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
24 Apr 08 at 1:35 am.
Scott Michael Bazin, age 35, 6970 State Route 821 Apt. A,
Whipple, for a felony charge of failure to comply with the
order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor charges of operating
with an expired license, speeding, possession of drugs, OVI,
unauthorized use of a vehicle and not wearing a seat belt.
Bazin was arrested near milepost eleven on State Route 26 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Apr 08 at 2:55 am.
Justin William Barth, age 23, 299 County Nine
Road, Reno, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Barth was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 08
at 3:21 pm.
Richard Daniel Gill, age 46, 4310 Dalzell Road, Whipple, for
violating the terms of his probation and for two counts of
contempt of a court order, all misdemeanors. Gill was arrested
at the Pit Stop by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 08 at 5:43 pm.
William Thomas Gilliam, age 44, 3155 State Route 26, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Gilliam
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 08
at 7:31 pm.
Timothy Allen Gibson, age 41, 1901 Avery Street, Parkersburg,
for fishing without a license and for disposing of trash in
a state waterway, both misdemeanors. Allen was arrested at
Devol’s Dam by Officer Woods of the Department of Natural
Resources and processed into the Washington County Jail on
24 Apr 08 at 9:30 pm.
Michael Lee Roux, age 36, 26219 State Route 7, Marietta, for
domestic violence and for two counts of violating the terms
of a protection order, all misdemeanors. Roux was arrested
on Sandhill Road by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24
Apr 08 at 11:52 pm.
