On 19 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Malone requested a summons for Russell Haverty, age 38, 264 Radabaugh Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Mr. Haverty’s neighbor reported the previous day that Mr. Haverty came to his residence and asked for a cigarette. Denied a cigarette, Mr. Haverty began to yell, scream and taunted his neighbor, wanting him to come outside and fight.

On 19 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Mitchel J. Bauerbach, age 24, 53 Wilson Street, Beverly, for disorderly conduct. Ignoring two prior requests to turn the volume of music down, Mr. Bauerbach was issued the citation after Deputy Staats responded to 4412 Sparling Road where Bauerbach said he was hosting a party.

On 19 Apr 08 a seventeen year old female driving a Lincoln Continental struck the passenger side door of a parked Chevy Impala owned by Clyde H. Knoch, age 90, 640 Stanleyville Narrows Road, Whipple. The crash, which occurred in the parking lot of BP on Arends Ridge Road, caused minor damage to both vehicles (610).

On 19 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Michael W. Hasley, age 51, 3085 State Route 26, Marietta, for OVI and for driving left of center. Stopped on Pleasant Ridge Road, Mr. Hasley had a strong odor of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington County Jail, Mr. Hasley tested .142 BAC.

On 19 Apr 08 Caroline Brenner, 398 Kilbuck Street, Sewickley, PA, reported a teenager playing with BB gun at the trailer park at 1045 Sandhill Road in Marietta fired the gun in her direction and the projectile struck her in the leg. The thirteen year old admitted shooting the weapon in the direction of a home and accidentally hit Ms. Brenner. Ms. Brenner declined to pursue charges in the matter (610).

On 19 Apr 08 William McCracken, age 60, 501 Cornerville Road, Marietta, reported sometime since 28 Mar an unknown suspect(s) stole ATV’s belonging to him and his friend from a building on his friend’s property at 596 Whealdon Road in Cutler. This case remains under investigation (586).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nathan Carver Stalnaker, age 24, 1533 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Stalnaker was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 1:20 am.

Cody Justin Cline, age 27, 4103 Jackson Run Road, New Matamoras, for criminal damaging, obstructing official business, menacing and for resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. Cline was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 2:40 am.

Terry Allen Pierce, age 33, 740 Dugan Road, Belpre, for two misdemeanor counts of driving under a suspended license. Pierce was arrested on Dugan Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 8:40 am.

Jackie D. Buffington Jr., age 38, 20 Colegate Drive, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Buffington was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 12:54 pm.

Jesse Scott Books, age 25, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Books was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 1:03 pm.

Michael Wayne Hasley, age 51, 35 State Route 26, Marietta, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Hasley was arrested on Pleasant Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 9:15 pm.

David Houston Chisolm, age 44, 4100 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Chisolm was arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 08 at 9:30 pm.
