On 8 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a multiple vehicle crash involving a minivan operated by a
four year old. Witness statements indicate that a four year
old girl entered a Ford Windstar, turned on the ignition, placed
the car in gear and caused the vehicle to coast backwards.
The van then collided with two vehicles on the neighboring
property at Larry’s Car Sales. The four year old girl
and her two year old brother, who was also a passenger, did
not suffer any injuries. The vehicles sustained minor damage.
On 8 Apr 08 Tara R. Eddleblute, age 19, 15086
State Route 60, Lowell, was backing her vehicle into the parking
lot of Jukebox Pizza at 620 Main Street in Waterford when she
struck the driver side door of a parked Buick Lesabre owned
by Arita R. Ellis, 7809 S. State Route 555, Chesterhill. Both
vehicles sustained light, nonfunctional damage; no injuries
were reported (1293).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Miranda M. Brookhart, 28, 4667 Welch Road,
Little Hocking, for failing to appear to serve five days in
jail on 31 Mar 08.
Robert D. Jordan, age 44, 136 ½ Harmar Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to pay
fines and court costs.
Marcus Pearson, age 19, 1199 Roslyn Avenue, Akron, for issuing
bad checks to Fish-n-Stuff between 28 Sep and 20 Oct 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Aaron Berecz, age 33, 490 County Nine
Road, Reno, for attempted murder, a felony. Berecz was arrested
at his residence by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Apr 08 at 6:35 am.
Dashawn Kelly Tyson, age 33, 2821 Jonathan
Park Way, Reynoldsburg, OH, for driving under an FRA suspended
license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Tyson was arrested near milepost two on
Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 08 at 3:20 pm.
Kevin Patrick Helms, age 40, 216 Fifth Street Ext., Lowell,
for obstructing official business and theft, both misdemeanors.
Helms was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 08 at 7:19 pm.
Graham Michael Cochran, age 24, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 13,
Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Cochran was arrested at the
Marietta City Police Department by Patrolman Huffman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 08 at 10:22 pm.
