On 6 Mar 08 Allen D. Moore, age 60, 4765 Stanleyville
Road, Whipple, reported his sister in law phoned him on 4 Apr
and said that she awoke to car engines revving at 11:45 pm
and saw two vehicles driving through his hay field on Sugar
Run Road. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 6 Apr 08 Trish Blake, age 31, 3227 School
House Road, Little Hocking, reported sometime during the night
she believes one of her son’s friends stole three of
the four $50 bills she had in her purse. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 6 Mar 08 Rebecca J. Pritchard, age 36,
475 Anderson Road, Lowell, reported the owner of a residence,
from whom she once rented and where she stored her property
in a garage, was selling some of her stored property without
permission. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 6 Mar 08 Richard L. McKnight, age 51, 1125
Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, reported sometime overnight
an unknown suspect(s) stole a two foot high pile of scrap aluminum
and copper wire from his property. This case remains under
investigation (1184).
On 6 Mar 08 at approximately 12:36 am Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes arrested Luke M. Martin, age 29, 4475 State
Route 676, Stockport, for OVI. Deputy Rhodes observed Mr. Martin
riding an ATV on State Route 555 in Cutler and noticed the
vehicle did not have any rear lights. Detecting an odor of
alcohol, Deputy Rhodes administered field sobriety tests, on
which Mr. Martin performed poorly and refused to complete.
When transported to the Washington County Jail Mr. Martin tested
.168 BAC.
On 6 Apr 08 the mother of a ten year old Little
Hocking resident reported her estranged husband struck the
back of the child’s neck while she had her children playing
at Little Hocking Elementary School that evening. This case
remains under investigation (1293).
On 6 Apr 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested
a summons for Joshua Campbell, age 22, 107 Sixth Street, Beverly,
for disorderly conduct. Witnesses reported that Mr. Campbell
was visiting a friend at 20370 State Route 60 in Beverly when
he became raucous and engaged a neighbor in a shouting match.
Deputy Smeeks determined Mr. Campbell instigated the confrontation,
therefore he did not charge the neighbor.
On 6 Apr 08 Sgt. Parks and Deputy Sheriff
Mankins responded the report of a dispute at 1900 Kohl Road
in Whipple. At the scene, one of the home’s residents,
Tina L. Gray, age 50, informed the Deputies that she believed
her roommate Elizabeth Chambers, age 48, took several items
from her. Speaking with Ms. Gray’s fifteen year old son,
Sgt. Parks noticed a small metal smoking pipe. The juvenile
stated the pipe was his and also said he had another metal
smoking pipe and a Red Bull can which he used to smoke marijuana.
Further questioned, the teenager said his mother and sometimes
Ms. Chambers gives him marijuana to smoke. Over the past three
months the juvenile said his mother gave him marijuana six
or seven times and Ms. Chambers gave it to him two or three
times. Regarding her actions, Ms. Gray said she didn’t
want her son to overdose on marijuana that he bought himself
so she began distributing it to him. Similarly, Ms. Chambers
said she gave the juvenile drugs at the direction of Ms. Gray
and she did so twice but refused to do it any longer. As a
result, Ms. Chambers and Ms. Grayson were arrested for felony
charges of corrupting another with drugs and transported to
the Washington County Jail. Ms. Chambers was also charged with
felony charges of tampering with drugs and illegally conveying
items into a detention facility. On the way to jail she repeatedly
denied being in possession of contraband but while being booked
in Corrections Officers discovered methadone pills in a plastic
bag and marijuana and rolling papers in her purse.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Timothy Ray King, age 18, 506 McDonald Road, Waterford, for
possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. King was arrested
on State Route 550 by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 08 at 12:23 am.
Luke Matthew Martin, age 29, 4475 State Route 676, Stockport,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested on State Route
555 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Apr 08 at 1:48 am.
Tina Louise Gray, age 50, 1900 Kohl Road, Whipple, for corrupting
another with drugs, a felony. Gray was arrested at her residence
by Sgt. Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 08 at
7:59 pm.
Elizabeth Mahala Chambers, age 48, 1900 Kohl Road, Whipple,
for tampering with drugs, for corrupting another with drugs
and for illegally conveying items into a detention facility,
all felonies. Chambers was arrested at her residence by Sgt.
Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 08 at 8:15 pm.
