On 24 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Anthony J. Spurgeon, age 22, 513 ½ Eighth Street, Marietta, for possession of marijuana. Stopped for not stopping at a red light on State Route 7, Mr. Spurgeon was found in possession of a burnt marijuana joint.

On 24 Mar 08 a forty-two year old Marietta resident reported her fourteen year old daughter’s purse, containing over $150 and a calculator, was stolen from Souls Harbor Baptist Church on 12 Mar 08. This case remains under investigation (1091).

On 24 Mar 08 an employee of Lawrence Township reported he noticed the previous day that the street signs for Bear Run Road and McCain Road appeared to have be knocked down by a vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1020).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Alex Blake Johnson, age 18, 338 Jefferson Drive, Mineral Wells, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 08 at 2:00 pm.

Michael Joe Cremeans, age 34, 41791 Pomeroy Pike, Pomeroy, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Cremeans was arrested at the courthouse by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 08 at 4:41 pm.
