On 23 Mar 08 a witness reported his neighbor,
Jacob A. Wood, age 21, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 20, Marietta,
was highly intoxicated, stumbling around outside his residence
and punched the side of his own residence. Deputy Sheriff Travaglio
located Mr. Wood, who was screaming profanities and broke his
hand when he punched his home, and arrested him for disorderly
conduct by intoxication. After receiving treatment for his
injury Wood was transported to the Washington County Jail where
he tested .252 BAC.
On 23 Mar 08 a fifty-four year old Little
Hocking resident reported his sixteen year old foster child
failed to return home after spending the night at a friend’s
home the previous night. This case remains under investigation
(296).
On 23 Mar 08 Mark Quattlebaum, age 46, 301
Main Street, Waterford, reported his son’s girlfriend,
Amber L. Wesley, age 21, 85 Lang Farm Road, Marietta, was creating
a disturbance and refused to leave the residence. Mr. Quattlebaum
said he escorted Ms. Wesley outside the home and that she yelled
for several moments and sped off in her vehicle. As a result
of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a summons
for Ms. Wesley for disorderly conduct.
On 23 Mar 08 Kayla J. Amos, age 18, PO Box
242, New Matamoras, reported she was driving southbound on
State Route 60 from Lowell and that her boyfriend nearly caused
her to cash more than once. Ms. Amos said she left a relative’s
after arguing with her boyfriend, Andrew L. McCarty, age 19,
125 Hickory Street, Lowell, and that Mr. McCarty chased her
in his vehicle, would speed past her and brake abruptly in
front of her. On one occasion Ms. Amos said Mr. McCarty exited
his vehicle, punched the hood of and attempted to jump on her
vehicle. Citing the fact that Ms. Amos feared that Mr. McCarty
would assault her, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested McCarty for
aggravated menacing and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 23 Mar 08 Sgt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff
Eddy were dispatched to the scene of death of a forty-five
year old New Matamoras resident. Though no foul play is suspected,
the deceased was sent to Montgomery County for an autopsy.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Charles Thornton Owens, age 38, Marion Street, Chesterhill,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Owens
was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Probation Officer
Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on
23 Mar 08 at 12:40 am.
Jacob Andrew Wood, age 21, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 20, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Wood
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Mar 08 at 4:52
am.
Jason Scott O’Donnell, age 27, 1913 Washington Boulevard
Lot A, Belpre, for contempt of a court order and for failure
to appear, both misdemeanors. O’Donnell was arrested
in Belpre by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23
Mar 08 at 5:58 pm.
Andrew Lee McCarty, age 19, 125 Hickory Street, Lower Salem,
for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. McCarty was arrested
at IGA in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Mar 08 at 11:42 pm.
