On 22 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
summonses for Walter T. Klintworth, age 62, 9261 Muskingum
River Road, Lowell, and Fred L. Schob II, age 39, 9243 Muskingum
River Road, for disorderly conduct by fighting. The two briefly
scuffled in the middle of the roadway after both parties exchanged
obscene gestures and profane remarks.
On 22 Mar 08 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff
Reynolds responded to a report of an intoxicated male threatening
to harm himself at 442 Muskingum Drive, Marietta. The Deputies
located Travis A. Thomas, age 20, and arrested him without
incident. Mr. Thomas, who had superficial self-inflicted cuts,
stated he was depressed, drank a forty ounce beer and that
he didn’t want to die. For his actions Thomas was arrested
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for underage consumption
of alcohol transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Barry J. Smith, age 45, 1 Kelly Lane, Vienna, for OVI, speeding
and for driving left of center. Stopped for driving 71 mph
in a 35 mph zone, Mr. Smith had a strong odor of alcohol. After
he performed poorly on field sobriety tests, Smith was transported
to the Washington County Jail where he tested .185 BAC.
On 22 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued
a citation to Vicky L. Martin, age 37, 808 Highland Avenue,
Princeton, WV, for traveling 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy
Lockhart stopped Ms. Martin near milepost four on Interstate
77 in Muskingum Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Barry John Smith, age 45, 1 Kelly Lane, Vienna, for OVI, speeding
and for driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Smith was
arrested on State Route 339 in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22
Mar 08 at 2:30 am.
Benjamin Lawson Ours, age 31, 3862 Fox Lake Road, Smithville,
OH, for two felony counts of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor
charges of .17 breath OVI and failing to dim his headlights.
Ours was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 22 Mar 08 at 4:20 am.
William Thomas Gilliam, age 44, 3155 State Route 26, Marietta,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines and for violating the terms of his probation,
both misdemeanors. Gilliam was arrested on Lancaster Street
by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 08
at 1:22 pm.
Travis Andrew Thomas, age 20, 442 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for underage consumption
of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Thomas was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 Mar 08 at 8:37 pm.
