On 21 Mar 08 Lt. Schuck requested a warrant for Alex J. Dunn, age 18, 511 Cherry Avenue, Williamstown, for a felony charge of theft. Investigating an unrelated incident, Lt. Schuck learned that Dunn stole multiple pieces of jewelry from 100 Somerset Drive in Marietta on 13 Mar 08. The victim in the case positively identified eleven rings that were stolen from her residence and sold at two pawn shops in Parkersburg. Dunn, who is currently awaiting sentencing on an unrelated safecracking charge, was arrested the following day without incident.

On 21 Mar 08 Wayne Venham, age 61, 2407 Barth Road, Belpre, reported he believes his neighbor, with whom he is involved in an ongoing property line dispute, removed three “No Trespassing” signs from his property. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 21 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested a summons for a nine year old Lowell resident for being unruly. The child’s mother stated her daughter threatens family members with knives, hits her sister and when she doesn’t get her way the child dials 911. Over the past week the girl dialed 911 at least three times for trivial reasons such as not receiving as many cookies as she wanted.

On 21 Mar 08 a fifty-one year old Elba resident reported receiving four unwanted phone calls. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 21 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats was dispatched to the scene of death of a fifty-two year old Vincent resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Alex Justin Dunn, age 18, 511 Cherry Avenue, Williamstown, for theft, a felony. Dunn was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Lt. Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 12:20 pm.

Felix Agyei Ntow, age 22, 4085 Burnell Circle West, Columbus, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Ntow was arrested near milepost six on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 2:35 pm.

April Ann Studer, age 25, 1410 Lewis Drive, Zanesville, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Studer was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 3:55 pm.

Robert Clay McClain, age 36, 2650 Biddyville Road, New Marshfield, OH, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a felony. McClain was picked up at the Athens County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 4:00 pm.

Kelly Jane Farnsworth, age 20, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 5:10 pm.

Timothy Estil Jennings, age 43, 1017 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Thomasville, NC, for driving under a suspended license and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Jennings was arrested State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Mar 08 at 7:25 pm.
