On 20 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
a citation to Aaron D. Williams, age 29, 4819 Calvin Drive,
Columbus, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for
failing to use a turn signal. Deputy Spencer stopped Mr. Williams
on Interstate 77 near milepost three in Marietta Township.
On 20 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Malone issued
a minor misdemeanor citation to Errich Schmidt, age 18, 855
Browns Road, Marietta, for possession of marijuana. Deputy
Malone issued the citation to Mr. Schmidt after the principal
at the Washington County Career Center confiscated a small
bag of marijuana from Mr. Schmidt.
On 20 Mar 08 Ronald E. Rogers, age 73, 730
Collins Road, Whipple, reported between 4 and 5 pm the previous
afternoon an eight foot fiberglass stepladder was stolen from
outside his garage. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 20 Mar 08 Ronnie D. Stevens, age 49, 310
Morris Loop Road, Marietta, reported the upstairs tenant of
the house he rents started an argument and threw a shoe at
him. The owner of the house and upstairs tenant, Anna D. Jones,
age 43, countered, saying Mr. Stevens is a bad tenant that
she is trying to evict and that he began yelling at her when
she arrived home. While Deputy Sheriff Simmons issued Ms. Jones
a citation for disorderly conduct by fighting, the role of
Mr. Stevens is under investigation.
On 20 Mar 08 Lt. Wilson requested summonses
for Daniel E. Christopher, age 32, 975 Mount Tom Road, Marietta,
and Jennifer L. Jones, age 35, 1202 Poplar Street, Belpre,
for disorderly conduct by fighting. Witness statements conflict
with the accounts of Christopher and Jones but it is clear
that the two began arguing at Jones’ residence in Belpre.
The two then drove to Marietta and engaged in a brief shoving
match in the vicinity of Morris Loop Road in Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Stacey Lynn McGill, age 18, 203 Foot Hill
Road, Davisville, WV, for three counts of burglary and for
two counts of theft, all felonies. McGill turned herself in
to Sgt. Brockmeier at the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on
20 Mar 08 at 7:35 am.
James Kelmer Laird, age 46, 202 Oak Drive,
Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Laird was arrested in Belpre by Probation Officer
Farrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Mar 08 at 11:35 am.
David Lee Perine, age 23, 1308 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras,
for felony charges of theft and forgery and a misdemeanor charge
of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines.
Perine was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution
by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Mar 08 at 2:00 pm.
James Rodney Walters Jr., age 25, 1600 Tygart Street Apt.
8, Parkersburg, for operating a vehicle without a license,
a misdemeanor. Walters was arrested near milepost six on US
50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 08 at 3:35 pm.
Kevin Madrid Nipps, age 32, 710 Washington Boulevard, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Nipps was arrested in
Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 08
at 4:00 pm.
Susan Gail Roe, age 33, 2141 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Roe was arrested near
milepost three on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 08
at 5:15 pm.
Jeremy David Wright, age 25, 1206 County House Lane, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Wright was arrested on County House
Lane by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 08
at 8:15 pm.
