On 14 Mar 08 an employee of Eramet, 16075 State Route 7, Marietta, reported two utility trailers exhibited marks where it appeared an unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry. Though the trailers were slightly damaged, the suspects were unable to enter the buildings or steal anything. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 14 Mar 08 an employee of Green Meadows Veterinary Hospital, 3000 State Route 26, Marietta, reported the business received two bad checks totaling $92.25 for services rendered on 23 and 25 Feb 08. Upon contacting the account owner, the Green Meadows employee learned the checks were stolen from the account owner and forged. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 14 Mar 08 Bradley W. Duff, age 30, 6585 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, reported an unknown individual used his debit card information to make unauthorized purchases totaling over $250. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Candy Kay Nelson, age 47, 990 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Nelson was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 08 at 7:30 am.

Bruce Alan Casto, age 49, 105 Gilman Street Lot 14, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Casto was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 08 at 9:27 am.

Alicia Dawn Miller, age 24, 209 Fifth Street Ext., Lowell, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 08 at 9:17 pm.
