On 8 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to the scene of a single vehicle crash involving a Ford truck
driven by Shawn M. Taylor, age 29, 165 Knob Road, Vincent.
Saying he slid off State Route 339 on a patch, Mr. Taylor had
an odor of alcoholic beverages. Though he claimed he only drank
two beers, Mr. Taylor performed poorly on a horizontal gaze
nystagmus test. Arrested for OVI and failure to control, Mr.
Taylor was transported to the Washington County Jail where
he tested .142 BAC.
On 8 Mar 08 Kevin M. Taylor, age 54, 122 Tennis
Center Drive Apt. 39, Marietta, reported on two occasions within
forty-minutes he observed a male subject behind an adjacent
apartment urinating in the snow. Deputy Sheriff Travaglio located
the suspect, identified as the apartment complex manager Jason
A. Albrecht, age 29, 124 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 2A, and noticed
his pants and belt were still undone. Visibly intoxicated,
Mr. Albrecht claimed he was pouring out a beer and left a yellow
area in the snow. As a result of the incident, Deputy Travaglio
requested a summons for Mr. Albrecht for disorderly conduct
by intoxication.
On 8 Mar 08 Billie J. Slonaker, age 53, 1208
B Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, was traveling southbound
on State Route 7 when she encountered a patch of ice near milepost
thirty-seven. Ms. Slonaker was unable to regain control of
her Chevy Blazer, traveled across the roadway and struck a
tree. Though her vehicle sustained heavy damage, neither Ms.
Slonaker nor her passenger reported injuries (1184).
On 8 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds requested
summonses for Jean Wulfert, age 74, and Tiffany McPherson,
age 26, both of 230 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, for disorderly
conduct by fighting. Arguing over her granddaughter using foul
language in violation of house rules, Ms. Wulfert slapped Ms.
McPherson with an open hand. In retaliation Ms. McPherson shoved
back at and slapped her grandmother.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Sheehy Burns, age 31, 207 Barber Street, Marietta, for
assault and for two counts of domestic violence, all misdemeanors.
Burns was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Mar 08 at 1:55 am.
Shawn Michael Taylor, age 29, 165 Knob Drive, Vincent, for
OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Taylor was
arrested on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 08 at 3:50 am.
Christopher Michael Lucas, age 29, 101B Colonial Square, Belpre,
for a felony charge of domestic violence and for misdemeanor
charges of driving under an OVI suspended license and having
improper license plates. Lucas was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman
Clevenger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 08 at 4:40 am.
John Lee Vandale, age 36, 1929 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, for
driving under an OVI suspended license and for having illegal
window tint, both misdemeanors. Vandale was arrested on State
Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 8 Mar 08 at 7:06 pm.
