On 6 Mar 08 Deputy Sheriffs Anderson and Smeeks stopped a vehicle driven by Dennis L. Long, age 30, 547 Delason Avenue, Youngstown, for speeding on Interstate 77. Deputy Smeeks’ canine indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, prompting a search of the Buick. In the vehicle the Deputies discovered a freshly cut marijuana plant, a baggy of marijuana, marijuana seeds, rolling papers and a marijuana pipe. In consequence, Mr. Long was arrested for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 6 Mar 08 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to Nathaniel A. Coe, age 55, 27360 State Route 7 Lot 10, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Lt. Wilson stopped Mr. Coe on State Route 7 near Gravel Bank Road in Dunham Township.

On 6 Mar 08 Rise L. Westbrook, age 50, 2220 Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported a family member took a four drawer toolbox from her garage that she believes is her property. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 6 Mar 08 Lt. Wilson issued a citation to Mark E. Schuller, age 37, 11053 Vine Street, Pomeroy, for driving under a suspended license and for having inoperable brake lights. Lt. Wilson stopped Mr. Schuller on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Warren Township.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Billy G. Davis, age 24, 30290 Barringer Ridge Road, Pomeroy, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and for failing to complete court ordered counseling.

Reashawn Downing, age 23, 3006 Kola Way, Columbus, for driving under a suspended license on 9 Feb 08.

Jodie L. Grimes, age 27, 600 ½ Second Street, New Matamoras, for OVI and for not stopping at a stop sign on 9 Feb 08.

John C. Heldman, age 53, 1348 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for contempt of a court order on 17 Oct 07.

Jacquelyn S. Jackson, age 26, 411 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, for disorderly conduct by fighting on 18 Jan 08.

Jason S. O’Donnell, age 27, Route 4 Box 54, Parkersburg, for failing to appear for pretrial on 26 Feb 08.

Laurie B. Phan, age 26, 72 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license and for having expired tags.

Leonard Reisinger, age 33, 1806 Ninth Avenue, Parkersburg, for issuing a bad check for $235 to the Wesley Township Fire Department on 7 Dec 07.

Robert M. Russell, age 18, 3275 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for driving under a suspended license on 8 Feb 08.

Jeffrey B. Smith, age 43, 20360 State Route 60, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of completing twenty-four hours of community service.

Krystal R. Smith, age 36, 20360 State Route 60, Beverly, for violating the terms of her probation by failing to show proof of completing twenty-four hours of community service.

Adam T. Patterson, age 35, 174 W. Main Street, McConnelsville, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to complete a Driver’s Intervention program.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jacob Edward Mason, age 22, 50 Second Street, Vincent, for OVI and for operating a vehicle without license plates. Mason was arrested on Virginia Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 3:20 am.

Paula Jean Jackson, age 21, 1985 Roberts Road, Amesville, for a felony charge of contempt of a court order and for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Jackson was arrested on Virginia Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 3:47 am.

Jodie L. Grimes, age 27, 600 ½ Second Street, New Matamoras, for .08 breath OVI, for not stopping at a red light and for failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Grimes was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 4:40 pm.

Sherman Dewayne Holder Jr., age 24, 727 Market Street, Washington Courthouse, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Holder was picked up at the Fayette County Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 4:50 pm.

Dennis Lemone Long, age 30, 547 Delason Avenue, Youngstown, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Long was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 4:55 pm.

Gary Lee Cable, age 27, 22500 Frostyville Road, Caldwell, for driving under an OVI suspended license, a misdemeanor. Cable was arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 8:10 pm.

Frederick Gale McKitrick, age 25, 3010 Burnett Road, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McKitrick was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Mar 08 at 8:15 pm.
