On 4 Mar 08 Regina Ward, age 47, 1040 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, reported on at least two occasions a business has refused one of her checks because an individual in Sandusky, OH used her driver’s license number. This case remains under investigation (8411).

On 4 Mar 08 John Reichardt, age 63, 2450 Indian Run Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) cut and removed approximately 500 feet of an old copper phone line from his property. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 4 Mar 08 an employee of White Oak Pharmacy reported seeing on surveillance footage an unknown male remove a bottle of ibuprofen from a box, place the empty box on a shelf and leave the store without paying for the item. This case remains under investigation (684).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Thomas Stewart Rutter, age 45, PO Box 128, Newport, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Rutter was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 08 at 2:14 pm.

Terry Lee Chidester Jr., age 29, Marietta, for forgery, receiving stolen property and for misuse of a credit card, all felonies. Chidester was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 08 at 4:27 pm.

Paul Morgan Teters, age 44, 240 Calhoun Street, Wytheville, VA, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Teters was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 08 at 11:07 pm.
