On 3 Mar 08 a fifty-four year Cutler resident
reported she believes her twelve year old nephew stole a gold
diamond ring from her home the previous day. The victim said
her nephew’s mother phoned to tell her she found the
ring in her bathroom. Questioned in the presence of his father,
the juvenile admitted to Deputy Sheriff Travaglio that he stole
the ring. As a result, Deputy Travaglio requested a summons
for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
On 3 Mar 08 Alexis L. Walker, age 23, 124
Quail Street, Little Hocking, reported upon moving to her new
residence on 18 Feb 08 she noticed a diamond ring and a topaz
ring were missing and alleges a member of her moving company
stole them. This case remains under investigation (515).
On 3 Mar 08 an employee of McAlarney Pools
and Spas, 908 Pike Street, Marietta, reported sometime since
Saturday morning a Hawken outdoor wood burning stove was stolen
from outside the business. Further investigation revealed a
Hawken company representative authorized an individual to move
the stove from its location. Therefore, Deputy Sheriff Norman
closed this case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Richard Martindell, age 27, 1011 Front Street, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Martindell was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 08 at
3:40 am.
Michelle Marie Slagle, age 35, 117 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Slagle
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 08 at 8:30
am.
Rodney Eugene White, age 59, 70 Orndorf Road,
Stockport, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. White was
picked up at the Morgan County line by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 08 at
11:15 am.
David Joseph Caplinger, age 21, State Route 60, Beverly, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Caplinger
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 08 at
9:20 pm.
