On 26 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued
a citation to Jamie L. Koon, age 22, 116B Ann Street, Parkersburg,
for traveling 73 mph in a 55 mph zone and for failure to obey
a traffic control device. During the traffic stop at the intersection
of State Route 7 and Lockhart Street in Dunham Township Deputy
Lockhart noticed an open case of beer and an odor of alcohol
emanating from Ms. Koon’s passenger, Brian N. Shaw, age
20, PO Box 417, Spencer, WV. Mr. Shaw tested .095 BAC, was
arrested for underage consumption of alcohol and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 26 Feb 08 Alexandra J. Robertson, Age 20,
124 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 3B, Marietta, reported an acquaintance
used a hammer to dent and to break a pane of glass of her front
door. Ms. Robertson said the acquaintance began arguing loudly
and had to be forced outside her apartment. The acquaintance
continued her tirade until she damaged the door and fled. This
case remains under investigation (1184).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Stephen Lanise McRhea, age 45, 122 Harmar
Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. McRhea was arrested at his residence by Deputy
Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 26 Feb 08 at 12:15 pm.
David Ray Burwell, age 50, 710 Devola Street, Marietta, for
nonsupport of dependants, a felony. Burwell turned himself
in to Captain Ketelsen and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Feb 08 at 1:30 pm.
James Ray Huey, age 27, 504 Shenandoah Drive, Byesville, for
felony charges of theft by deception and passing bad checks
and for two misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. Huey
was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Feb 08 at 3:00 pm.
Philip Andrew Martin, age 19, Waterford Mills Apt. 9, Waterford,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Martin
was arrested at his residence by Lt. Canavan of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Feb 08 at 7:05 pm.
Katie Marie Caplinger, age 18, 400 Main Street Apt. 9, Waterford,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Caplinger
was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Feb 08
at 8:15 pm.
