On 9 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose occupants were reportedly en route to purchase crack cocaine. Deputy Mankins’ canine Aboo indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle driven by Traci L. Schwendeman, age 35, 830 ½ Third Street, Marietta and occupied by passenger Amanda R. Mendenhall, age 25, 726 ½ Third Street Apt. A, Marietta. Found in the back seat of the car was a crack pipe Ms. Mendenhall said was hers. In Ms. Schwendeman’s possession were rolling papers, marijuana and components commonly used in crack pipes. In consequence, Deputy Mankins arrested Ms. Schwendeman for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to reinstate her operator’s license and having fictitious plates. Charged with possession of drugs, Ms. Mendenhall was transported to the Washington County Jail with Ms. Schwendeman.

On 9 Feb 08 Elizabeth Stille, age 25, 3228 Tick Ridge Road, Lower Salem, reported she believes a friend of her boyfriend stole over $400 while he spent the night at her home. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 9 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a citation to Shawn D. Jones, age 36, 1912 Gladstone Street, Parkersburg, for traveling 71 mph in a 50 mph zone and for operating with a driver’s license that expired in 1998. Deputy Staats stopped Mr. Jones near milepost eight on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Donald William Kitts, age 25, 10270 State Route 550 Apt. B2, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Kitts was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 1:45 am.

Michael Allen Rinker, age 27, 298 Bexford Road, West Jefferson, OH, for OVI and for failure to obey a traffic control device, both misdemeanors. Rinker was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 2:30 am.

Nathaniel Payton Kindler, age 21, 580 State Route 266, Stockport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Kindler was arrested on Second Street in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 3:35 am.

Joseph Cameron Fleegle, age 24, 807 Second Street, Saint Marys, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Fleegle was arrested at the intersection of Third and Greene Streets in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 3:40 am.

Robert Edward Carpenter, age 33, 2665 Mill Fork Road, Marietta, for felony charges of assault and abduction and for misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Carpenter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 6:41 am.

Deidra Michelle Wriston, age 26, 95 Lang Farm Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Wriston was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 9:21 am.

Brian Patrick Bacorn, age 28, 1444 Reynolds Run Road, Newport, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Bacorn was arrested in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 11:35 am.

Autumn Dawn Lucas, age 29, 332 Franklin Street, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Lucas was arrested at Food 4 Less in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 2:40 pm.

Amanda Renee Mendenhall, age 25, 726 ½ Third Street Apt. A, Marietta, for possession of drugs, a misdemeanor. Mendenhall was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 4:00 pm.

Traci Lea Schwendeman, age 35, 830 ½ Third Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to reinstate her operator’s license and having fictitious plates. Schwendeman was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 4:20 pm.

Bruce Wayne Rodkey, age 31, 11360 Johnson Avenue, Alliance, OH, for speeding, a misdemeanor. Rodkey was picked up in Stark County by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 9:48 pm.

Jeffry Ryan Voycik, age 24, 1665 Glendale Road, Marietta, for felony charges of possession of drugs and tampering with evidence and for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs, escape, hit-skip, obstructing official business, theft and operating with an expired license. Voycik was arrested at Influent by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 08 at 11:08 pm.
