On 8 Feb 08 a probation officer reported he
was doing a home check and believed the suspect was under the
influence of alcohol. Providing a breath sample to Deputy Sheriff
Malone, the suspect, Seth J. Joyce, age 18, 73 Glencoe Street,
Belpre, tested .056 BAC. As a result, Deputy Malone arrested
Mr. Joyce for underage consumption of alcohol and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 8 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Christopher W. Staehle, age 18, 7628 Hudson Park Drive, Hudson,
OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stopped for speeding on State Route 7, Mr. Staehle was found
in possession of a bag of marijuana and marijuana pipe.
On 8 Feb 08 Susan Arnold, age 55, 537 Turkeyhen
Road, Fleming, reported while she and her husband were away
between 7 am and 2:45 pm an unknown perpetrator(s) entered
their home and stole a carton of cigarettes and three Mason
jars containing $200 in change and small bills. This case remains
under investigation (586).
On 8 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Jennifer N. Hayes, age 24, 168 Linton Hill Road,
Coolville, for traveling 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Mankins
stopped Ms. Hayes on US 50 near Farson Street in Belpre Township.
On 8 Feb 08 Ann E. Bonar, age 53, 603 Washington
Street, Marietta, struck a deer as she traveled westbound on
State Route 5590 near Rubrake Road. Ms. Bonar’s Honda
Civic sustained functional damage; she reported no injuries
(945).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Nikol Marguerite Taylor, age 29, 18645 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested at the intersection
of Pike and Acme Streets in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Norman
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 08 at
12:01 am.
Shawn Eugene Leasure, age 30, 836 Pike Street Apt. 12, Marietta,
for menacing and for two counts of disorderly conduct, all
misdemeanors. Leasure was arrested at Sierra Apartments by
Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Feb 08 at 7:00 am.
Allen Joseph Murphy, age 22, 591 Litteral
Avenue, Argillice, KY, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Murphy was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on
8 Feb 08 at 3:45 pm.

both misdemeanors. Staehle was arrested on State Route 7 near
Joe Skinner Road by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 08 at 5:45 pm.
Seth Joseph Joyce, age 18, 73 Glencoe Street, Belpre, for
underage consumption of alcohol and for violating the terms
of his probation, both misdemeanors. Joyce was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 08 at 10:00 pm.
Brandon Alexander Hanley, age 22, 1061 Glen Oak Drive, Bethel
Park, PA, for possession of drugs, a misdemeanor. Hanley was
arrested on Lockhart Street in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 08 at
10:50 pm.
