On 7 Feb 08 Lt. Wilson arrested Irvin L. Sales,
age 36, 3259 13th Avenue, Columbus, for possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopped for weaving in
his lane on Interstate 77, a canine indicated the presence
of drugs in Mr. Sales’ vehicle. A subsequent search yielded
a marijuana joint in a soda can and a bag of marijuana hidden
behind the glove compartment.
On 7 Feb 08, while conducting a traffic stop
on Cisler Drive, Deputy Sheriff Reynolds detected an odor of
alcohol and noticed the occupants appeared under twenty-one.
Two passengers, Sabrina E. Milliron, age 20, 728 Second Street,
Marietta, and Jenna D. Purdy, age 18, 210 Wooster Street, Marietta,
stated they were on their way home from the Locker Room where
they drank alcohol with friends. As a result, Milliron and
Purdy were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol and
transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 7 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Carr responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-nine year old Lowell resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 7 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Norman conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Nikol M. Taylor, age
29, 18645 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, for having an inoperable
license plate light. While Deputy Norman wrote a warning citation
Deputy Mankins conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle with
his canine. The indicated there were drugs in the vehicle and
a search conducted. Finding two marijuana joints and a blue
marijuana pipe, Deputy Norman arrested Ms. Taylor for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
her to the Washington County Jail.
On 7 Feb 08 Carol M. Bennett, age 42, PO Box
611, Saint Marys, reported she believes another employee at
Influent stole a prescription bottle from her purse that contained
Vicodin and Xanax. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 7 Feb 08 Jason Wolfe, age 35, 836 Pike
Street Apt. 3, Marietta, reported he fell asleep while his
neighbor was visiting his apartment and when he awoke at 7
pm his prescription bottles of Xanax and Vicodin were empty
and his wallet, several CD’s and a package of Bugler
tobacco were missing. The suspect, Shawn E. Leasure, age 30,
836 Pike Street Apt. 12, allegedly took the pills and tobacco
and left them on a table in his apartment. At 6 am the next
morning Deputy Sheriff Eddy again responded to the apartment
complex to investigate an incident involving Leasure. On this
occasion for reasons unbeknownst to him, Mr. Wolfe stated Leasure
threatened to kill him with a crowbar and beat incessantly
on his door for thirty minutes. A witness on the scene also
reported being threatened by Leasure but stated he was not
in fear and that the two reconciled. Arresting Leasure at his
apartment, Deputy Eddy noticed the package of Bugler tobacco
from the incident the previous day. Coupling his observation
with witness statements, Deputy Eddy filed a grand jury brief
in support of felony charges of theft of prescription drugs
for Leasure. In all, Leasure was charged with aggravated menacing,
disorderly conduct and theft. He is currently incarcerated
in the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Noah Lee Clevenger, age 30, 2426 Parker Avenue, Parkersburg,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Clevenger was arrested on Third Street in
Marietta by Sgt. Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Feb
08 at 1:25 am.
Ricky David Terrell, age 39, 924 Swan Street, Parkersburg,
for operating with an expired license, a misdemeanor. Terrell
was arrested on Union Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 08 at 1:40 am.
Kenneth Eugene Goff, age 46, 42684 State Route 26, Woodsfield,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Goff was arrested
in Marietta by Probation Officer Smith and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 08 at 1:55 am.
Jason Allen Lauderman, age 19, 210 Cedar Street, Marietta,
for possession of drugs, a misdemeanor. Lauderman was arrested
on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Feb 08 at 2:40 am.
Sabrina Elaine Milliron, age 20, 728 Second Street, Marietta,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Milliron
was arrested on Cisler Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Reynolds and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7
Feb 08 at 3:15 am.
Jenna Danielle Purdy, age 18, 210 Wooster Street, Marietta,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Purdy was
arrested on Cisler Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 08 at
3:15 am.

possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both
misdemeanors. Sales was arrested on Interstate 77 by Lt. Wilson
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 08 at 3:45 am.
Serena Fawn Biehl, age 30, 311 Chesnutt Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor.
Biehl was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 08 at
3:45 pm.
Omar Shikh Mohamoud, age 29, 3218 Misty Creek Drive, Decatur,
GA, for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Mohamoud was
arrested near milepost six on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 7 Feb 08 at 6:40 pm.
