On 6 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a citation to Ronnie E. Kern, age 44, 313 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Kern at the intersection of Franklin and Maple Streets in Pioneer Township.

On 6 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a citation to Justin R. Holland, age 25, 150 Camelot West Lot 36, Belpre, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating a vehicle with tags that expired in February 2007. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Holland at the intersection of Third and Marion Streets in Pioneer Township.

On 6 Feb 08 Sgt. Underwood issued a citation to Randall D. Williams, age 42, 1082 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for failure to obey a traffic control device. Sgt. Underwood stopped Mr. Williams after he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of US 50 and State Route 339 in Belpre Township.

On 6 Feb 08 Dorothy M. Smith, age 39, 255 Highland Ridge Road, Marietta, reported being involved in an altercation with her live-in boyfriend Jerry W. Seabolt, age 36. Believing he deserved to be repaid for buying his girlfriend new tires, Mr. Seabolt pulled Ms. Smith by the hair, threatened to kill her and threw a kitchen knife in her direction. Though Mr. Seabolt denied a confrontation occurred, Ms. Smith’s face was red and swollen. Therefore, Lt. Canavan arrested Mr. Seabolt for assault and aggravated menacing and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 6 Feb 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart observed the driver of a vehicle abruptly turn from State Route 7 onto Browns Road, pull into a driveway, jump from his vehicle and hide conspicuously behind a parked car. The suspect, Joseph W. Myers, age 30, 115 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, then walked away, stating some girl he picked up was driving. Arrested for OVI and obstructing justice, Mr. Myers was transported to the Washington County Jail. The girl Mr. Myers claimed he picked up also ran from the scene but was later arrested after a witness reported seeing her return to the vehicle. Charged with obstructing justice, Carla M. O’Neill, age 37, 115 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, was also booked into the jail.

On 6 Feb 08 a seventeen year old Marietta resident reported her Zune media player was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked at Warren High School between 9:30 am and 2 pm. This case remains under investigation (296).

DRUG TRAFFICKING ARREST

In October 2007 Detectives with the Major Crimes Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of prescriptions drugs on Franklin Street in Marietta from Jennifer Brickwedde, age 32, 409 Fearing Street, Marietta. Of the thirty pills purchased twenty were identified as Xanax and ten as Ritalin. Another purchase from Brickwedde was arranged the following month, at which time a confidential informant, within 1,000 feet of a school, purchased 100 Xanax pills.

Subsequent to follow up investigations, Brickwedde was arrested on February 6 for a third degree felony charge of trafficking in Ritalin, a Schedule II drug with children present, for a fourth degree felony charge of trafficking in Xanax, a Schedule IV drug, in the vicinity of a school and an additional fourth degree felony charge trafficking in Xanax in the presence of children.

Brickwedde posted bond and is scheduled for arraignment in Marietta Municipal Court at 1 pm this afternoon.

The Major Crimes Task Force is composed of the Athens, Morgan, and Washington County Sheriff’s Offices; Athens, Marietta and Belpre Police Departments; the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification; Department of Public Safety Investigative Unit and the Athens, Morgan and Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s Offices.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Patrick Walsh, age 36, 1315 Salster Road, Fleming, for assault, a misdemeanor. Walsh was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 7:40 am.

Jerry Wayne Seabolt, age 36, 255 Highland Ridge Road, Marietta, for assault and aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors. Seabolt was arrested in Lower Salem by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 10:36 am.

David Michael Phillips, age 48, 2245 Clark Hill Road, Beverly, for aggravated burglary, a felony. Phillips was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 12:30 pm.

Jennifer Sue Brickwedde, age 32, 409 Fearing Road, Marietta, for three felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Brickwedde was arrested at her residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 2:19 pm.

Craig Allen Moore, age 22, 125 Millers Lane Apt. 3B, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested in Reno by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 8:10 pm.

Christophe Strasimirofski, age 25, 1025 Stadium Drive, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Strasimirofski was arrested on Fourth Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 8:45 pm.

Olivia Coreen Lohrey, age 24, 511 Cisler Lane, Marietta, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Lohrey was arrested on Tennis Center Drive by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 9:15 pm.

Lisa Ann Fornash, age 25, 200 Alderman Street Apt. 2, Belpre, for a felony and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs. Fornash was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 10:50 pm.

Joseph Wesley Myers, age 30, 115 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, for OVI and for obstructing justice, both misdemeanors. Myers was arrested on Forshey Street by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 10:55 pm.

Carla Marie O’Neill, age 37, 115 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, for obstructing justice, a misdemeanor. O’Neill was arrested on Forshey Street by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 11:05 pm.

Floyd Jordan Jr., age 37, 2319 Marston Road, Columbus, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Jordan was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 08 at 11:20 pm.
