On 30 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued
a citation to Thomas J. Sharp, age 26, 4672 Staunton Pike Road,
Parkersburg, for operating a vehicle with tags that expired
in October 2007. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Sharp on US 50
at Farson Street in Belpre Township.
On 30 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation to Keith A. Drake, age 21, 832 Ridge Street, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Rhodes stopped
Mr. Drake on State Route 550 near Virginia Street in Pioneer
Township.
On 30 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
Neil D. Hendrickson, age 50, 14151 Brill Road, Stewart, for
tampering with drugs, possession of drugs, possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia. Noticing an odor of marijuana
emanating from Mr. Hendrickson during a traffic stop, Deputy
Travaglio conducted a pat down search for weapons as he interviewed
Mr. Hendrickson. In Hendrickson’s pocket Deputy Travaglio
discovered an ibuprofen bottle containing four Vicodin pills.
Also located during the stop were a marijuana pipe and a bag
of marijuana.
On 30 Jan 08 Sgt. Underwood investigated an
incident during which an eight year old suffered a broken arm
at the hands of her thirteen year old brother. Interviewing
the children, Sgt. Underwood concluded the injury was purely
accidental and not due to criminal conduct.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jessica Lynn Stevens, age 26, 726 ½ Third Street, Marietta,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Stevens was arrested at her
residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Jan 08 at 9:19 am.
Miranda Mae Brookhart, age 27, 440 Long Run Road, Lower Salem,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Brookhart
was arrested in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 08 at 5:25 pm.
Neil Dean Hendrickson, age 50, 14151 Brill Road, Stewart,
for a felony charge of tampering with drugs and for misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia,
not having license plates and having a defective exhaust. Hendrickson
was arrested in Bartlett by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 08 at 5:30 pm.
Tracy Jo McElfresh, age 21, 615 State Route 555, Little Hocking,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. McElfresh was arrested at her residence
by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Jan 08 at 8:45 pm.
