On 26 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued
citations to Dana R. Braun, age 55, 933 ½ Greene Street,
Marietta, for not stopping at a red light and for being in
possession of an open container of alcohol. Deputy Travaglio
stopped Mr. Braun for not stopping at a red light at the intersection
of Pike and Greene Streets when he noticed an open bottle on
Miller Genuine draft in the vehicle’s console.
On 26 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to Jeffrey A. Hearn,
age 38, 402 Summit Road, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with fictitious and
expired tags. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Hearn on State Route 7 near Tennis
Center Drive in Marietta Township.
On 26 Jan 08 an employee of Washington Electric
Cooperative, 406 Colegate Drive, Marietta, reported a total
of 120 feet of copper ground cables were stolen from the company’s
substation on Patten Mills Road in Bartlett. This case remains
under investigation (1207).
On 26 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Brandon D. Mayle, age 22, 21345 McGraw Road,
Stewart, for driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr.
Mayle near milepost sixteen on State Route 555 in Wesley Township.
On 26 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Tucker issued
a citation to Michael C. King, age 32, 1584 Elizabeth Street,
Belpre, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Tucker
stopped Mr. King on State Route 7 near Veto Road in Warren
Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Douglas Heddleson, age 43, 640 Rinard Mills Road, New
Matamoras, for OVI, for not stopping at a red light, resisting
arrest, menacing and for consuming alcohol in a vehicle, all
misdemeanors. Heddleson was arrested on State Route 260 by
Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jan 08 at 2:06 am.
Dennis Ryan Marks, age 37, 215 Belavista Drive, Marietta,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for not wearing
a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Marks was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 26 Jan 08 at 6:55 pm.
