On 24 Jan 08 the owner of Lang’s Welding,
800 State Route 821, Marietta, reported sometime over the past
several days a 300 foot roll of welding wire, electrode holders,
ground clamps and lock cables were stolen from outside his
building. This case remains under investigation (790).
On 24 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
Garland W. Gibson Jr., age 23, 41350 Windland Road, Jerusalem,
OH for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in a vehicle stopped for driving erratically, Mr.
Gibson appeared nervous. Granted permission to search the vehicle,
Deputy Travaglio found a Clonazepam pill in a pill bottle that
Mr. Gibson admitted was his. Mr. Gibson also stated he had
a straw in his wallet that he used to snort the pill after
he crushed it.
On 24 Jan 08 Kyla L. McConnell, age 18, 203
Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported an electrical stimulation
unit with electrodes and a digital voice recorder were stolen
from her locked vehicle sometime that afternoon. Ms. McConnell
estimates the loss due to the theft is $1,100. This case remains
under investigation (200).
On 24 Jan 08 a thirty-six year old Marietta
resident reported her sixteen year old son became angry because
she would not let him leave for the night and began hitting
the walls with his fists. The mother said the juvenile left
the home and she has not heard from him since. Citing previous
disciplinary problems, Deputy Sheriff Malone requested a summons
for the teenager to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly.

Office received the following warrants:
Joseph A. McKitrick, age 28, 3010 Burnett
Road, Cutler, for failing to appear for a probation violation
hearing on 22 Jan 08.
Eldon R. Pierce, age 31, 8 Sixth Street, Belpre, for failing
to appear for pretrial on 23 Jan 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ryan Allen Winebrenner, age 22, 15685 Waterford Road, Waterford,
for driving under a suspended license, for operating without
a license, for failing to obey the right of way and for not
having license plates, all misdemeanors. Winebrenner was arrested
on Fifth Street in Beverly by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 2:03 am.
Nicole Leigh Weekly, age 30, 612 Florence Street, Belpre,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Weekly
was arrested outside the Locker Room in Marietta by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 2:59 am.
Patricia Ann Carroll, age 55, 49862 Batesvillle
Road, Summerfield, OH, for two felony counts of forgery. Carroll
was arrested at the courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Tucker and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 9:53
am.
Garland Webster Gibson Jr., age 23, 41350 Windland Road, Jerusalem,
OH for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Gibson was arrested on State Route 7 in
Newport by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 3:14 pm.
Bobby Gene Seevers, age 49, 515 Goose Run Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Seevers was
arrested on Alderman Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 4:31 pm.
Christopher W. Bowman, age 28, 475 Pineview Drive, Gallipolis,
for driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both
misdemeanors. Bowman was arrested near milepost thirteen on
Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jan 08 at 8:07 pm.
Robert Larry Deem, age 58, 1315 Tower Road, Little Hocking,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Deem was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff
Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24
Jan 08 at 8:20 pm.
