On 23 Jan 08 the owner of Devola Mini Storage,
State Route 60, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) cut
the padlocks off of four units. Contacting the units’ renters,
the only missing items are limited to a Craftsman air compressor
and a broken Motorola Razr.
On 23 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched
to the scene of death of a fifty-four year old Beverly resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 23 Jan 08 Howard L. Johnson, age 78, 23
Maple Grove Road, Waterford, reported when he and his wife
returned to their home after being away for twelve hours they
noticed where an unknown person kicked in the bottom of their
trailer’s front door. This case remains under investigation
(1097).
On 23 Jan 08 John M. Conant, age 24, 212 Market
Street, Marietta, reported another employee at his workplace
shoved him on two occasions that morning. Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
interviewed witnesses who reportedly saw the incident but could
not corroborate Mr. Conant’s claim. Hence, Deputy Rhodes
closed this case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Lorent Alfred Greene, age 24, 7 Wheatgrass Court, Columbia,
SC, for driving under a suspended license and for speeding,
both misdemeanors. Greene was arrested on Interstate 77 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Jan 08 at 2:33 am.
Amanda Faith Atkinson, age 31, 881 Rector Road, Vienna, for
OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended license, nor driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, for not wearing a seat
belt and for not stopping at a flashing red light, all misdemeanors.
Atkinson was arrested near milepost three on US 50 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 23 Jan 08 at 3:05 am.
Roy Hampton Leach, age 49, 17660 Dorr Run
Road, Nelsonville, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Leach was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 23 Jan 08 at 11:10 am.
Jennifer Lynn Parrish, age 27, 87 Riverview Avenue, Little
Hocking, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Parrish was picked up in Belpre by Patrolman Warden of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Jan 08 at 11:37 am.
Raymond Lynn Boothe, age 54, 34 Oak Street, Jackson, OH, for
violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Boothe
was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 08
at 8:11 pm.
