On 17 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Tornes requested
a summons for Michael P. Harriman, age 28, 25000 Frostyville
Road, Lower Salem, for a fifth degree felony charge of passing
a bad check. The affidavit Deputy Tornes filed alleges that
Mr. Harriman issued a $600 check to Pioneer Chevrolet as down
payment for a vehicle and the check was returned for non-sufficient
funds.
On 17 Jan 08 the treasurer of the Wesley Township
Fire Department, 2060 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported an
individual paid $235 for items at the organization’s
Christmas fundraiser with a check written on a frozen account.
This case remains under investigation (8411).
On 17 Jan 08 Gary Fobes, age 43, 100 Pineview
Circle, Marietta, reported on two occasions since 8 Dec 07
unknown individuals forged checks using his personal and bank
information. This case remains under investigation (790).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Nicole Lynn Thompson, age 21, 120 Harmar Street,
Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested
on Harmar Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Jan 08 at 3:26 am.
Matthew Richard Jett, age 22, 505 Ferguson
Street, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Jett was arrested at his residence by Deputy
Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Jan 08 at 3:35 pm.
Richard Paul Davis, age 28, 659 Halcyon Avenue Apt. 10B, McConnelsville,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Davis was picked up at the Noble County
jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 08 at 4:00 pm.
Charles Edward Drake, age 30, 47 Fifth Street, Parkersburg,
for driving under a suspended license, speeding and for not
having license plates, all misdemeanors. Drake was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 08 at 7:45 pm.
Christopher Shawn Stoops, age 36, 1522 27th Street, Vienna,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, for following too
closely and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Stoops was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jan 08 at 9:45 pm.
