On 7 Jan 08 Patricia Eddy, age 46, 208 Alden
Avenue, Marietta, reported sometime over the weekend an unknown
suspect(s) stole her son’s BMX-style bike from their
yard. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 7 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
a citation to William M. Chovan, age 60, 118 Bartlett Street
Apt. F, Marietta, for operating with an expired driver’s
license and for not stopping at stop sign. Deputy Spencer stopped
Mr. Chovan after he failed to stop when turning from Masonic
Park Road onto State Route 60 in Muskingum Township.
On 7 Jan 08 an employee of Hocking Tire Center,
166 Tower Road, Little Hocking, reported an individual issued
two checks to the business in December for $1,321.66 and the
checks were later returned by the bank for being on an “uncollected
funds hold.” This case remains under investigation (1090).
On 7 Jan 08 the owner of the Outskirts, 20825
State Route 550, Marietta, reported between 6 pm on 6 Jan and
8:30 that morning an unknown suspect(s) entered the business
and stole eight bottles of liquor, 300 packs of cigarettes,
five hats, to rolls of snuff, twenty cigarette lighters and
$100 in cash. The victim says the total loss of the stolen
items is approximately $1,908. This case remains under investigation
(707).
On 7 Jan 08 an employee of Thermo Fisher Scientific,
301 Mill Creek Road, Marietta, reported on 28 Dec 07 an unknown
male phoned the business on one of their toll free lines and
left a threatening message. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Scott Leroy Boley, age 32, 2356 Mount Carmel
Road, Saint Marys, for a felony charge of failure to comply
with the order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor charges
of carrying a concealed weapon and driving under a suspended
license. Boley was arrested in Newport by Sgt. Parks of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 7 Jan 08 at 12:05 am.
Kenneth Lee Mays, age 50, 110 Colonial Square
Apt. B, Belpre, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs.
Mays was arrested at his residence by Detective Warden of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 7 Jan 08 at 10:57 am.
Kimberly Ann Riffle, age 36, 903 Fourth Street, Marietta,
for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Mays was arrested
at his residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Jan 08 at 1:53 pm.
John Fredrick Frazier, age 56, Marietta, for two felony counts
of failure to appear and for a misdemeanor charge of failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Frazier
was arrested in Reno by Detective Schuck of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Jan 08 at 6:00 pm.
