Department stopped a vehicle following a pursuit that began
in their jurisdiction. Informed of his rights, the driver of
the vehicle, Scott L. Boley, age 32, 2356 Mount Carmel Road,
Saint Marys, stated he fled from the authorities in Saint Marys
because he didn’t want to go to jail and that he also
had a suspended license. In his possession, Mr. Boley had a
spring blade knife that officers seized. As a result of the
incident, Mr. Boley was arrested for a felony charge of failure
to comply with the order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor
charges of carrying a concealed weapon and driving under a
suspended license and transported to the Washington County
Jail.
On 6 Jan 08 Deputy Sheriff Day responded to
the scene of a domestic dispute at 20150 State Route 550, Marietta.
The victim, Donald A. Plaugher, age 19, stated he just broke
up with his girlfriend and was using profane language in front
of his mother and little sister. Plaugher’s mother asked
him to stop, at which time his stepfather Timothy Seevers,
age 39, entered the room and pushed his chest up against him.
Mr. Seevers proceeded to threaten his stepson and raised his
fist in a threatening manner, which also frightened his thirteen
year old stepdaughter. Determining Mr. Plaugher was in fear
for his safety, Deputy Day arrested Mr. Seevers for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
