On 31 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued
a citation to Teresa S. Mayle, age 39, 7270 Marion Street,
Chesterhill, for traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy
Lockhart stopped Ms. Mayle on State Route 550 near Clark Road
in Wesley Township.
On 31 Dec 07 Doreen M. Horn, age 46, 131 Fredrick
Street, Marietta, reported sometime since November an unknown
suspect(s) broke seven windows of the lodge hall at the Girl
Scouts Camp on Falls Run Road in Fairfield Township. This case
remains under investigation (707).
On 31 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart stopped
a vehicle driven by Kelly Longnecker, age 39, 1430 Reynolds
Run Road, Newport, for committing several traffic violations
in the vicinity of State Route 7 and State Route 339. Patting
down Mr. Longnecker for weapons prior to a consensual vehicle
search, Deputy Lockhart discovered a marijuana pipe and two
marijuana joints in Mr. Longnecker’s pocket. As a result,
Deputy Lockhart arrested Mr. Longnecker for possession of drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
On 31 Dec 07 Julie Maze, age 30, 11 Suzanne
Street, Little Hocking, reported her husband Brent, age 34,
283 Maze Road, Belpre, phoned her several times which is a
violation of a protection order she has against him. Able to
validate Mrs. Maze’s claim, Deputy Sheriff Eddy arrested
Mr. Maze for violating the terms of a protection order and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 31 Dec 07 a fifty-seven year old New Matamoras
resident reported her sixteen year old son pushed her against
the wall. Angered that his mother asked him to clean up breadcrumbs
he was throwing on the floor, the teenager assaulted his mother
then stormed out of the house. The mother followed her son
outside, where he picked up a shovel and swung at her. The
mother and the juvenile’s brother stated he has assaulted
them in the past and he cannot control his temper. Upon the
recommendation of the juvenile’s probation officer, he
was arrested for delinquency by domestic violence and transported
to the Washington County Juvenile Center.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kelly Longnecker, age 39, 1430 Reynolds Run
Road, New Matamoras, for possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Longnecker was arrested
on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Dec 07 at 4:53 pm.
Brent Michael Maze, 34, 283 Maze Road, Belpre,
for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Maze was arrested on Tadpole Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Eddy
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Dec 07
at 7:45 pm.
