On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued
a citation to Jennifer Hartshorn, age 25, 300 Starlite Drive
Lot 6, Marietta, for failure to reinstate her operator’s
license and for operating a vehicle with a loud exhaust. Deputy
Travaglio stopped Ms. Hartshorn on Cornerville Road in Marietta
Township.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Adam T. Mathers, age 34, 1733 Michigan Avenue,
St. Cloud, FL, for traveling 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy
Staats stopped Mr. Mathers on US 50 near Clement Avenue in
Belpre Township.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-seven year old Watertown
resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play
is suspected.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested
John D. Starkey, age 57, 490 Main Street, Waterford, for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Starkey
was in his vehicle, stopped in the middle of Whipkey Road when
Deputy Carr encountered him. Asked by Deputy Carr about the
odor of burnt marijuana in his vehicle, Mr. Starkey relinquished
a marijuana pipe and bag of marijuana.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
Paul Hale, age 18, 372 Williamsburg Lane, Georgetown, KY, for
possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in a vehicle stopped on State Route 7, Mr. Hale
and the vehicle’s driver had an odor of burnt marijuana.
After a search of the vehicle revealed a marijuana pipe and
residue, Mr. Hale admitted smoking marijuana an hour earlier
and that the pipe belonged to him.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Drew F. Devore, age 22, 2333 Aspen Street, Canton,
for traveling 80 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped
Mr. Devore on State Route 7 near State Route 124 in Belpre
Township.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Jeremy D. Noah, age 25, 129 Falls Street, Williamstown, for
OVI. Stopping Mr. Noah for speeding on State Route 60 in Lowell,
Deputy Rhodes noticed an odor of alcohol and administered field
sobriety tests. Despite Mr. Noah’s claim he only drank
one beer he performed poorly on the standardized tests. When
transported to the Washington County Jail, Mr. Noah tested
.123 BAC.
On 30 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested
Daniel L. Glover, age 24, 2380 17th Street E, Canton, for possession
of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Glover acted nervous when stopped
for a traffic violation on State Route 339. A canine called
to the scene indicated the presence of drugs in Mr. Glover’s
vehicle and a subsequent search yielded a glass marijuana pipe.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeremy Daniel Noah, age 25, 129 Falls Street, Williamstown,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Noah was arrested on State Route 60
by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Dec 07 at 3:06 am.
Paul Aaron Bradley Hale, age 18, 372 Williamsburg Lane, Georgetown,
KY, for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Hale was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy
Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Dec 07 at 4:55 am.
John David Starkey, age 57, 490 Main Street, Waterford, for
possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Starkey was arrested on Whipkey Road by
Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Dec 07 at 7:15 am.
Daniel Lee Glover, age 24, 3107 Varley Avenue SW, Canton,
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Glover
was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 07 at 4:13
pm.
Leroy Perine, age 46, 313 Cemetery Lane, Kimbolton, OH, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Perine was picked up at the Noble County line
by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Dec 07 at 10:50 pm.
