On 27 Dec 07 a seventeen year old Marietta resident reported being involved in a verbal and physical confrontation with her boyfriend and father of her two children at his residence at 2419 Indian Run Road, Marietta. During the argument, which began when she found her boyfriend Nathanial Stevens, age 19, in possession of another female’s phone number, the victim stated Mr. Stevens pushed her to the floor. Confirming the victim’s account with a witness, Deputy Sheriff Reynolds arrested Mr. Stevens for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 27 Dec 07 an employee of Wetz Transportation, 1280 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported sometime since October six semi-truck radiators were stolen from the business’ locked storage area at the rear of their building. This case remains under investigation (1293).

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT WITH A SAW

On 27 Dec 07 deputies were dispatched to 3570 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, in response to an assault. Upon arrival, the deputies found the victim, Ronald Hoke, age 39, with several lacerations. Mr. Hoke stated Rodney Lockhart, age 44, inflicted the injuries upon him with a weapon later identified as a serrated blade saw with a handle. After being transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital, Mr. Hoke further explained that Mr. Lockhart awakened him by swinging the saw, struck him with it and ordered him to leave the residence. Hoke suffered severe cuts to his head, face, hands, and right arm which required stitches and staples.

Read his rights and questioned by detectives, Mr. Lockhart admitted striking the victim with the saw and stated he was upset that Mr. Hoke was sleeping in a bed and he had to sleep on a sofa. Mr. Lockhart said he struck the victim at least ten times and threw the saw in the front yard. As a result, Lockhart was arrested for felonious assault and transported to the Washington County Jail. Lockhart is being held without bond pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court today.

Jared Daniel McKiernan, age 22, 2861 Palmer Street, Chicago, IL, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. McKiernan was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 12:15 am.

Melissa Jo Flesher, age 33, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Flesher was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 5:00 am.

Christian Adam Preston, age 26, 875 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Preston was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 5:00 am.

Rodney Jay Lockhart, age 44, 3570 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for felonious assault. Lockhart was arrested at his residence by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 5:30 am.

Andrew James Stump, age 24, 146 Rauch Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Stump was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 9:45 am.

George Deane Carpenter, age 40, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Carpenter was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Carson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 10:40 am.

Darlene Denice Britton, age 37, 162 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Britton was arrested on Sacra Via in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 7:00 pm.

Nathanial Ross Stevens, age 19, 2419 Indian Run Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Stevens was arrested at Captain D’s in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 9:00 pm.

Bruce Alan Casto, age 49, 105 Gilman Street Lot 14, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Casto was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 07 at 11:00 pm.
