On 20 Dec 07 Scott A. Mayle, age 31, 1672
Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, reported while he was away overnight
an unknown suspect broke into his residence through a rear
door and stole a muzzleloader rifer, a Playstation 2 and $15
in loose change. This case remains under investigation (232).
On 20 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds responded
to the scene of death of a sixty-four year old Vincent resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 20 Dec 07 a member of the Layman United
Methodist Church, 232 Brownrigg Road, Cutler, reported sometime
over the past day the driver of a Jeep Cherokee damaged the
grass near the church parking lot. This case remains under
investigation (1001).
On 20 Dec 07 Kimberly Goff, age 31, 248 Mill
Branch Road, Belpre, reported being involved in an argument
with her husband Denver, age 37, at the Station Carryout. Deputy
Sheriff Staats located Mr. Goff traveling on Mill Branch Road
and conducted a traffic stop. Mr. Goff had a strong odor of
alcohol, slurred his speech and repeatedly yelled “you
are not going to arrest me.” To gain compliance, Deputy
Staats tazered Mr. Goff, arrested him for OVI, resisting arrest
and for violating a protection order his wife has against him
and was transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Dec 07 at 2130 hours Detectives from
the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Mario L.
McDonald, age 19, 3525 Daleford NE Avenue, Canton, for distribution
and possession of crack cocaine. On this date Detectives were
conducting surveillance near a business in the 500 block of
Front Street in Marietta and observed a hand to hand sale between
the suspect and a female. The female was stopped and admitted
purchasing 1.2 grams of crack cocaine from the suspect. A traffic
stop of the suspect’s vehicle was conducted and the suspect
admitting selling the crack cocaine. A subsequent consensual
search of a residence where the suspect was staying, 412 Maple
Street, Marietta revealed an additional 2 grams of cocaine.
The suspect admitted making prior trips to Marietta during
which he sold crack cocaine to other individuals. $200 in cash
was seized from the suspect which he admitted came from the
prior sales of crack cocaine. The suspect was transported to
the Washington County Jail and remains incarcerated without
bond pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court. The
investigation is continuing.

Clarksville, TX, for contempt for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $325.
John F. Frazier, age 56, Southgate Trailer Park Lot 64, Reno,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,159.80.
William J. Hesson, age 46, 16785 County Nine Road, New Matamoras,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $319.80.
Clarence O. Jeffers, 107 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for contempt
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,030.90.
Jeremy S. McGill, age 25, 401 Masonic Park Road, Marietta,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $175.50.
Nathan L. Robertson, age 21, 129 Elm Street, Belpre, for contempt
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $364.
Seth A. Robinson, age 23, 612 Odom Drive, Fayetteville, NC,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $539.50.
Joseph P. Smith, age 21, 404 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $539.50.
Donald S. Taylor, 3401 Spring Terrace Lane, Charlotte, NC,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $361.40.
Preston Taylor, age 24, 2418 Egypt Run Road, Mineral Wells,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $435.50.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ashanti Rosehill Johnson, age 20, 227 Stout
Street, Harrisville, WV, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Johnson was arrested at 219 Meigs Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Dec 07 at 8:05 am.
Serena Fawn Biehl, age 30, 311 Chestnut Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor.
Biehl was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Dec 2:58
pm.
Edward Dale Bailey, age 23, 502 Barclay Street Apt. D, Belpre,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Bailey was arrested on Walnut Street in Belpre by Patrolman
Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Dec 07 at 6:19 pm.
Mario Litterial McDonald, age 19, 3532 Daleford Avenue, Canton,
for trafficking in drugs and for possession of drugs, both
felonies. McDonald was arrested on Front Street in Marietta
by Detective Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Dec 07 at 11:25 pm.
