On 19 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Diana L. Corbin, age 27, 3501 Elm Street, Parkersburg, for possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana. Conducting the stop for a traffic violation on US 50, Deputy Smeeks performed an exterior sniff of the vehicle using his canine, Dutch. Once the canine indicated the presence of drugs, Deputy Smeeks searched a purse belonging to Ms. Corbin, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and located a small quantity of marijuana.

On 19 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded to the scene of death of a fifty-five year old Macksburg resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 19 Dec 07 Brandon M. Neville, age 34, 1170 Watertown Road, Waterford, reported sometime during the night an unknown suspect(s) pried open the door to his work truck and stole two new leathers jackets, a Craftsman tool set and his briefcase that contained work materials and over $800 in cash. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 19 Dec 07 John W. Addlesburger, age 34, 6658 Archers Fork Road, New Matamoras, reported Jeremy McFall, age 28, 823 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, punch and broke the glass of his vehicle’s driver side window. Stopping with his son at the Bada Bing Tavern on State Route in New Matamoras to pick up dinner, Mr. Addlesburger said Mr. McFall angrily confronted him and punched the window. Contrarily, Mr. McFall said he punched the window after Addlesburger threatened to shoot him and motioned as if he were reaching for a weapon. Due to misleading responses in Addlesburger’s earlier statement, Deputy Sheriff Norman requested a summons for him for obstructing official business. For breaking the window, Mr. McFall was summonsed by Deputy Norman for criminal damaging.

Keith A. Baker, age 26, 508 ½ Summers Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $598.

Jordan C. Germann, age 20, 6549 Brook Street, Dublin, OH, for hunting without a license and for carrying a shotgun with a capacity of more than three shells on 1 Dec 07.

James A. Gibson, age 74, 2409 Bogart Road, Huron, OH, for improperly tagging a deer on 28 Nov 07.

Jose A. Gomez, age 23, 141 Peach Drive, North Canton, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $318.50.

Michael J. Hall, age 34, 5671 Veto Road, Belpre, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $867.10.

Kenneth W. Hickman, age 36, 100B Center Street, Beverly, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $373.10.

Crystal D. Hoover, age 26, 3406 E State Route 266, Stockport, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $195.

Matthew R. Jett, age 22, 505 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license on 4 Dec 07.

Dwin J. McGraw, age 55, 5370 Long Run Road, Athens, for issuing a bad check fort $75 on 10 Sep 07.

Larry Owens, age 48, 122 Victory Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $403.

Terrance M. Price, age 43, 2811 Sixth Street, Coolville, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $266.30.

Woodrow J. Richards, age 29, 31925 Richard Road, Long Bottom, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $305.50.

Helena D. Riggs, age 33, Route 1 Box 127, Lowell, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $478.40.

Wayne L. Ruth, age 21, 1040 State Route 339, Belpre, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $835.90.

Heath R. Tucker, age 19, 1487 Bolen Hill Avenue, Columbus, for hunting without a deer permit on 1 Dec 07.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Andrew David Britton, age 20, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 26, Marietta, for corrupting another with drugs and for trafficking in drugs, both felonies. Britton was arrested at his residence by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 07 at 9:45 am.

Marthanna Gayle Savage, age 39, 1574 Elizabeth Street Apt. C, Belpre, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Savage was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 2:30 pm.

Kenneth Arnold Creamer, age 44, 735 Cylan Avenue, Akron, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, speeding and for breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Creamer was picked up at the Summit County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 07 at 3:15 pm.

Benjamin Randall Bruce, age 18, 389 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bruce was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 4:45 pm.

Crystal Dawn Hoover, age 26, 20330 State Route 60, Beverly, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hoover was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 07 at 5:39 pm.
