On 15 Dec 07 an anonymous caller reported hearing loud music emanating from the residence at 100 Winters Drive in Marietta. At the scene Deputy Sheriff Mankins encountered three individuals sitting in a parked vehicle. Noticing an odor of alcohol, Deputy Mankins questioned Chelsea L. Ginther, age 18, 104 Holiday Drive, Marietta; Kari Fox, age 18, 1560 Coal Run Road, Marietta; and a fifteen year old Marietta resident. The three occupants admitted drinking alcohol at that residence that evening. As a result, Deputy Mankins requested a summons for the juvenile for being delinquent and for Ms. Fox and Ms. Ginther for underage consumption of alcohol.

On 15 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to Joshua S. Buchanan, age 24, 2150 Spencer Road Apt. 25F, Orange Park, FL, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with expired plates. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Buchanan at the intersection of Franklin and Maple Streets in Marietta.

On 15 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a citation to Gregory L. Levitre, age 34, 2667 Indian Run Road, Marietta, for driving under a license suspended for not paying child support. Deputy Morris stopped Mr. Levitre at the intersection of Third and Greene Streets in Marietta.

On 15 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued citations to Scott M. Greathouse, age 37, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, for driving under a suspended license and for possessing an open container of alcohol. Deputy Carr stopped Mr. Greathouse at the intersection of Huck Road and Arnold Road in Muskingum Township.

On 15 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested Thomas F. Keerps, age 24, 1400 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, for OVI and for possession of drugs. Deputy Staats observed Mr. Keerps drive into a ditch on Briggs Hill Road and on State Route 7, paced Mr. Keerps vehicle traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. During the ensuing traffic stop, Deputy Staats noticed an odor of alcohol and administered field sobriety tests. A canine search of the vehicle yielded two burnt marijuana roaches in the ashtray of Mr. Keerps’ car and a bag of marijuana under the driver’s seat. When questioned, Mr. Keerps stated he drank one beer and smoked marijuana prior to the traffic stop.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Devonne Curtis, age 48, 809 Fifth Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, for driving outside the marked lanes of travel and for operating a vehicle without license plates, all misdemeanors. Curtis was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 07 at 12:14 am.

Sheena Dee Kidd, age 21, 587 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Kidd was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 07 at 11:25 am.

Scott Michael Greathouse, age 37, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, for failure to appear, for driving under a suspended license and for possessing an open container of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Greathouse was arrested on Huck Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 07 at 4:27 pm.

James Andrew Brookover, age 47, 1700 McDonald Road, Barlow, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Brookover was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 07 at 8:28 pm.

Thomas Floyd Keerps, age 24, 1400 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, for OVI and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Keerps was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 07 at 9:45 pm.
