On 12 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to Richard T. Usko, age 21, 33992 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, for driving under a twelve point suspended license and for passing a vehicle in a hazardous manner. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Usko on State Route 7 near milepost forty-four in Independence Township.

On 12 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued a citation to John W. Mulligan, age 39, State Route 555, Little Hocking, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license. Deputy Spencer stopped Mr. Mulligan on US 50 at Clement Avenue in Belpre Township.

On 12 Dec 07 Jeremy Wunderlich, age 18, 2275 State Route 339, Beverly, reported he purchased a Dodge Dakota for $225 on 23 Nov and later learned the vehicle had a $1,095 against it. When contacted, the seller of the vehicle, Michael J. Babcock, age 31, 470 Cornerville Road, Marietta, stated he was involved in a crash in the vehicle and informed Topper’s Auto Sales he was not going to continue making payments. Babcock further explained that Topper’s refused to pick up the vehicle so he placed an advertisement in the paper to sell the truck. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Travaglio submitted a grand jury brief in support of charging Babcock with selling a vehicle without owning the title.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Mitchell L. Greenwood, age 22, 35 Heeter Road, Newport, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment.

Brandon L. Kennedy, age 19, 803 Mitchell Avenue Apt. 3, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment.

Justin L. Knight, age 18, 727 Greene Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to complete twenty-four hours of community service and an eight hour alcohol class or to serve three days in jail.

Timothy J. Knight, age 24, 828 Cedar Grove Road, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to make payments toward fines.

Chris B. Parker, age 22, 160 Strahler Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of completing twenty-four hours of community service.

Kevin W. Reynolds, age 37, 15325 State Route 60, Lowell, for contempt of a court order.

Clyde L. Rutter, age 39, 21 West Third Street, The Plains, for driving under a twelve point suspended license on 26 Oct 07.

Joshua A. Snyder, age 25, 732 Braun Road, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to pay fines and costs in full.

Amber L. Sparks, age 27, PO Box 96, for failing to make regular restitution payments to Food 4 Less.

Angela M. Thompson, age 28, 20 Pennock Drive, Beverly, for possession of Klonopin on 9 Jun 07.

Christina P. Whiting, age 36, Route 1 Box 193, Mineral Wells, for three counts of falsification.

Clarence A. Wriston III, age 33, 903 Virginia Street, Beverly, for possession of marijuana on 9 Jun 07.

David L. Perine, age 23, 503 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $333.50.

Jeffrey A. Theiss, age 29, 27130 State Route 7, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $868.40.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Matthew Heldman, age 29, 2307 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Heldman turned himself in to Lt. Wilson at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 07 at 10:38 am.

George Deane Carpenter, age 40, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Carpenter was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 07 at 2:30 pm.

Chester Bryan Wilson, age 49, 119 Schilling Street, Marietta, for OVI, speeding, driving under an FRA suspended license, possession of drugs and for possessing an open container of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 07 at 6:15 pm.

Monica Ann Wilson, age 37, 1135 Cisler Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 07 at 11:57 pm.
