On 7 Dec 07 an employee of Hensler’s Town and Country, 1020 Pike Street, Marietta, reported the individual who operates their U-Haul business sold a truck belonging to the business and kept the proceeds for himself. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 7 Dec 07 Matt Huck, age 25, 80 Mines Road, Waterford, suffered a broken leg while riding a four wheel ATV on a friend’s property at 617 Wells Road, Waterford. Deputy Sheriff Malone determined the injury was caused by an accidental crash and not caused by impairment of any kind.

On 7 Dec 07 a thirty-five year old Marietta resident reported her seventeen year old daughter did not come home from work after her shift at Arby’s ended early that afternoon. For the second time in a week, a summons was requested for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly (296).

On 7 Dec 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio responded to a call for assistance from the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad at 216 Sixth Street, Beverly. Squad members were attempting to treat Darlene M. Starcher, age 39, who was highly intoxicated and had blood on her face and swelling around her eye. Ms. Starcher was very combative, screaming obscenities and ran from her home, barefoot into the snow before the squad was able to restrain her for treatment. Treated and released for injuries caused when she fell through a storm window at her home, Ms. Starcher was issued a citation for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

On 7 Dec 07 Hollie E. Smith, age 25, 5 High Street, Vincent, reported sometime since she last used her ATM debit card on 12 Nov, an unknown suspect(s) found or stole it and amassed $335 in charges. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 7 Dec 07 Chris LaDeaux, age 35, 1230 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, reported his adopted son Bo, age 18, left the home after an argument over watering the dog. Mr. LaDeaux said his son punched holes in his bedroom door and the walls and attempted to load shells in a shotgun when he took the weapon away. Determining Mr. LaDeaux feared for his safety, Deputy Reynolds arrested the teenage LaDeaux for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Dec 07 Sarah M. Lightner, age 25, 313 Washington Street Apt. B, Marietta, reported she was pulling her Ford SUV into a parking stall at Influent when she encountered a patch of ice. The ice caused Ms. Lightner’s vehicle to slide into the rear fender and driver side door of an unoccupied Chevy SUV owned by Marion J. Bell Cody, 39949 State Route 7, Newport. Only Ms. Cody’s vehicle sustained damage; no injuries were reported (296).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Eric Brandon Siders, age 19, 4650 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, speeding and for operating an unsafe vehicle, all misdemeanors. Siders was arrested on Cemetery Hill Road by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 1:00 am.

Jordan Barrett Baker, age 25, 2112 Rockland Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Baker was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 9:53 am.

William Chevelle Bailey, age 28, 4055 Patten Mills Road, Stockport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 10:03 am.

Bo Damian Ladeaux, age 18, 1230 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ladeaux was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 1:40 pm.

Jacquelyn Marie Crockett, age 51, 145 Rake Road, Whipple, for tampering with evidence and for attempted tampering with evidence, both felonies. Crockett was arrested on Seventh Street by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 2:21 pm.

Kenneth Allen Bay, age 19, 3028 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, for operating without a license, a misdemeanor. Bay was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 7:01 pm.

Tiffany Anne Lightfritz, age 19, 1005 Orchard Street Apt. 6, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Lightfritz was arrested at Influent by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 07 at 8:35 pm.
