On 30 Nov 7 an employee of AEP reported sometime since 8 Nov an unknown suspect(s) cut through a chain link fence at their substation at 394 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta, and stole 100 feet of copper wire. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 30 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to Charles E. Smith IV, age 33, 160 Newells Run Road, Newport, for driving under a license suspended, not paying child support and having an inoperable license plate light. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Smith near Mud Lane on State Route 7 in Newport Township.

On 30 Dec 07 Alvin Biehl, age 51, 1750 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, reported at around 10 pm the previous evening an unknown suspect attempted to enter his basement through a window. Prior to the attempt to enter the basement, Mr. Biehl stated the suspect rooted through his garage and stole $5 in change. This case remains under investigation (500).
