On 27 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriffs Travaglio and
Parks responded to a domestic dispute at 2235 Bells Run Road,
Newport. Tracy I. Tidd, age 37, informed the Deputies her live-in
boyfriend Todd Weddle, age 38, struck her, grabbed her by the
face and shoved her to the floor. Alerted to the situation
by Ms. Tidd’s children, Velma I. Tidd, age 56, 2255 Bells
Run Road, crossed the road to her daughter’s home and
attempted to intervene. When she arrived, Mr. Weddle punched
Ms. Tidd in the nose and pushed her to the floor, causing a
cut to her arm. As a result of the incident, Deputy Travaglio
arrested Mr. Weddle for two counts of domestic violence and
transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Nov 07 the co-owner of Gilmore Dentistry
reported on several occasions over the past six weeks, cash
was stolen from the purses or wallets of four employees. This
case remains under investigation (232).
On 27 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Spencer arrested
Steven J. McGee, age 35, 116 Grove Street, Marietta, for OVI,
driving under an FRA suspended license and for having fictitious
plates. Learning Mr. McGee had an active warrant, Deputy Spencer
conducted a traffic stop and observed the validation sticker
on the vehicle’s plates belonged to another vehicle.
Mr. McGee had a strong odor of alcohol and performed poorly
on field sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington
County Jail Mr. McGee tested .099 BAC.
On 27 Nov 07 residents of Sierra Apartments,
836 Pike Street, Marietta, reported two males were in the parking
lot and one of the suspects punctured tires on two vehicles
parked at the complex. Deputy Sheriff Travaglio later located
the suspects near Go Mart. Prior to interviewing one of the
suspects he identified as Isabelo G. Lopez, age 21, 745 ½ Greene
Street, Marietta, Deputy Travaglio conducted a pat down for
weapons and found a large folding knife in Lopez’s pocket.
When questioned, Lopez stated he was upset over an incident
at the Locker Room that evening and that slashing the tires
was a stupid thing to do. Also under the influence of alcohol,
Lopez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, criminal
damaging and disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Nov 07 Roy Hall, age 60, Olive Green
Creek Road, Beverly, reported he has been away from his residence
for the last three weeks and during that time an unknown suspect(s)
entered the home and stole a variety of old coins with a face
value of $1,500 but with a collectible value of over $5,000.
This case remains under investigation (500).
On 27 Nov 07 a twenty-two year old Lowell
resident reported for the last two weeks he has been receiving
harassing phone calls at his home number and at his voicemail
at work. This case remains under investigation (292).
On 27 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr investigated
a report of tires dumped along State Route 676 between the
0 and .5 mile markers in Bartlett. Between sixty and seventy
tires were dumped at the location during an unknown time frame.
On 27 Nov 07 David S. Farrar, age 47, 103
Rathbone Terrace, Marietta, reported between 30 Sep and 4 Oct
07 an unknown suspect entered his home and stole between $200
and $300 from a jar containing loose change. Through investigative
means, Detective Hiatt identified a former employee of Mr.
Farrar, Thomas J. Cline, age 32, 865 Smith Hill Road, Marietta,
as the perpetrator. When interviewed, Mr. Cline admitted entering
the residence but claimed he only took $10 or $15 for gas.
As a result, Detective Hiatt forwarded a brief to the Prosecutor’s
Office for grand jury consideration.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Minnie Lee Lilley, age 70, 241 Muskingum Drive,
Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.
Lilley was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 07 at 4:00 pm.
Sherri Ann Lawell, age 18, 241 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for a felony charge of tampering with evidence and for misdemeanor
charges of obstructing official business and theft. Lawell
was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 07 at 4:30 pm.
Todd Daniel Weddle, age 38, 2235 Bells Run Road, Newport,
for two felony counts of domestic violence. Weddle was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 07 at 6:51 pm.
Steven Jeffrey McGee, age 35, 116 Grove Street, Marietta,
for OVI, driving under an FRA suspended license and for having
fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. McGee was arrested on
Colegate Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 07 at 11:07 pm.
