On 25 Nov 07 Dale Kidder, age 79, 4480 Peters
Creek Road, Cambridge, reported sometime over the past week
an unknown suspect(s) broke a window to enter the trailer he
owns on State Route 60 in Beverly. Stolen from the trailer
were a .22 caliber rifle, a Budweiser lighted window sign,
a case of Busch Light, a spotlight and a weather radio. This
incident remains under investigation (790).
On 25 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Eugene F. Heiss, age 51, 14640 Muskingum River Road, Lowell,
for .08 breath OVI and for driving left of center. Stopped
for traveling across the centerline on Plum Run Road, Mr. Heiss
had an odor of alcohol and glassy, bloodshot eyes. Mr. Heiss
admitted consuming three beers and performed poorly on field
sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington County Jail
Mr. Heiss tested .086 BAC.
On 25 Nov 07 Linda Stevens, age 46, 110 Lynch
Church Road, Marietta, reported an unknown male abandoned a
red Chevy truck in front of her residence that morning. Deputy
Sheriff Eddy identified the vehicle as one that was reported
stolen in the city of Marietta. The Marietta City Police Department
is conducting further investigation into the theft of the vehicle.
On 25 Nov 07 Detective Hiatt requested a summons
for a sixteen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile
Court for being delinquent. Detective Hiatt’s affidavit
alleges the teenager inappropriately fondled his now seven
year old female cousin on three occasions last summer. If committed
by an adult, the juvenile’s actions would constitute
gross sexual imposition, a third degree felony.
On 25 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued
minor misdemeanor citations to Gary J. Nottingham, age 35,
1440 Barth Road, Belpre, and his wife Laura, age 38, for disorderly
conduct by fighting. Both subjects were engaged in an argument
and subsequent confrontation over child custody with neither
party feeling in fear for their safety. Also, due to conflicting
statements no primary aggressor could be identified.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Bryce Michael Edwards, age 30, 1267 Forest Hills Road, Parkersburg,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Edwards
was arrested at the Townhouse in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 07 at 12:45 am.
Rachel Charlene Thompson, age 18, 507 Eighth Street, Williamstown,
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Thompson
was arrested on State Route 821 in Marietta by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 25 Nov 07 at 1:20 am.
Earl Allen Conant, age 19, 1126 Highland Avenue, Williamstown,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Conant was arrested on State Route 60 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Nov 07 at 1:30 am.
John David Maxson, age 18, 84 Brye Street, Williamstown, for
OVI, driving left of center, possession of drugs and for possession
of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Maxson was arrested
on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 07 at 1:30 am.
Eugene Francis Heiss, age 51, 14640 Muskingum River Road,
Lowell, for .08 breath OVI and for driving left of center,
both misdemeanors. Heiss was arrested on Waterford Road in
Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 07 at 2:20 am.
Kevin Walter Reynolds, age 37, 15325 State Route 60, Lowell,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Reynolds was picked up at the Monroe
County line by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 07 at 6:25 am.
