On 19 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded to the scene of death of a forty-five year old Marietta resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 19 Nov 07 a forty-seven year old Belpre resident reported he believes the female who left a derogatory and threatening message on his answering machine did so in retaliation of a police report he filed in May 2007. This incident remains under investigation (1293).

On 19 Nov 07, while arresting Thomas J. Cline, age 32, 865 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, for an active warrant, Deputy Sheriff Carr conducted a pat down and located a bag containing 2.05 grams of marijuana in Cline’s pants. As a result, Deputy Carr charged Cline with possession of marijuana.

On 19 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested a summons for Robert G. Postlewaite Jr., age 47, 3505 School House Road, Little Hocking, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated matter, Mr. Postlwaite had an odor of marijuana. In response, Deputy Smeeks conducted an exterior canine sniff of Mr. Postlewaite’s vehicle. Once Deputy Smeeks’ dog indicated the presence of dugs in the vehicle, Deputy Smeeks searched the truck and found a bag of marijuana and a wooden marijuana pipe.

On 19 Nov 07 an employee of the water treatment plant on Oak Street in Little Hocking reported when she arrived at work at 1:45 pm she saw an unknown male spray painting “Fin..” on top of one of the green tanks. The suspect, wearing dark shorts, a dark hooded sweatshirt and knit hat fled before the employee could stop him. This incident remains under investigation (296).

On 19 Nov 07 Brian E. Karcher, age 31, 149 Wells Avenue, Marietta, reported a digital camera was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at a friend’s residence on Caywood Road that afternoon. This incident remains under investigation (790).

On 19 Nov 07 Marla Foy, age 38, 2024 Barth Road, Belpre, reported her daughter’s cellular phone was stolen from the girl’s locker room at Warren High School the afternoon of 16 Nov 07. This incident remains under investigation (592).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Herbert Leroy Nunn II, age 32, 121 Brant Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Nunn was arrested the Adult Probation office by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 07 at 5:16 pm.

Thomas Joseph Cline, age 32, 865 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Cline was arrested on Browns Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 07 at 5:24 pm.

Robin Jerome Richards, age 20, State Route 550, Barlow, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Richards was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 07 at 5:42 pm.
