DEATH INVESTIGATION CULMINATES IN INDICTMENTS
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office completed their
investigation into the circumstances surrounding the May 22,
2007 death of Thomas Noble, age 50, who was found deceased
in the hallway outside apartment #4 of Sierra Apartments at
836 Pike Street, Marietta. From evidence gathered at the scene
and from other avenues of investigation, Detectives determined
Mr. Noble died in the apartment of Kathy Edwards, age 48, of
cardiovascular disease and pulmonary edema complicated by multiple
drug intoxication. Witnesses stated Noble and Edwards, along
with Dallas Farnsworth, age 34, and Aaron Farnsworth, age 22,
both of 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, were drinking in Edwards’ apartment
and Edwards reportedly gave Noble four or five of her prescription
pills.
Though the suspects initially denied knowing Mr. Noble, the
Farnsworths later admitted being in the apartment with him
and seeing him deceased on the apartment floor. Detectives
were able to surmise through further questioning that Edwards
awoke in the morning, saw that Noble was deceased and asked
the Farnsworths to move the decedent out of her apartment.
This month the Prosecutor’s Office presented evidence
submitted by Detective Schuck to the grand jury. Today the
grand jury returned indictments on the three suspects on a
third degree felony charge of tampering with evidence, a fifth
degree felony of abuse of a corpse and a fourth degree misdemeanor
of disturbing a body.
The suspects in this case are all currently incarcerated in
