On 11 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
James G. Janes Sr., age 56, 4372 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell,
for a felony charge of OVI and for misdemeanor charges of driving
under an FRA suspended license, not wearing a seat belt, having
a defective exhaust, having fictitious plates, driving under
an OVI suspended license, failure to signal, driving outside
the marked lanes of travel, possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Travaglio was traveling northbound
on State Route 60 when he observed Janes’ vehicle swerve
into the southbound lane, stop abruptly and continue north.
Conducting a traffic stop after the vehicle turned into a driveway
without signaling, Deputy Travaglio noticed odors of alcohol
and marijuana and that Mr. Janes had glassy, bloodshot eyes.
Though Mr. Janes stated he only drank a few beers his passenger
stated they had been drinking all day at the legion hall in
Marietta. Following his poor performance on field sobriety
tests, Mr. Janes was transported to the Washington County Jail
where he refused a BAC test.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshua Ray Uppole, age 24, 1928 Worthington Street, Parkersburg,
for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Uppole
was arrested on Silver Globe Road by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Nov 07 at 3:05 am.

Daniel E. Hendrickson II, age 20, 704 Washington Square, Marietta,
for theft, a felony. Hendrickson was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 07
at 4:42 pm.
Brian Patrick Burge, age 37, 175 Homestead Drive, Williamstown,
for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Burge was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
11 Nov 07 at 4:50 pm.
