On 9 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to a methadone overdose at a residence on Highland Ridge Road in Lowell. The forty-three year old victim was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital and later life-flighted to the Ohio State University Medical Center. It is unknown if the overdose of prescribed medication was intentional or not. This case remains under investigation.

On 9 Nov 07 Lt. Wilson arrested Joseph M. Shuman, age 30, 836 Pike Street Apt. 21, Marietta, for possession of drugs and for having a fictitious registration. Stopped for not using a turn signal when turning from State Route 7 onto Gravel Bank Road, Mr. Shuman was reaching under the driver’s seat when Lt. Wilson approached the vehicle. When Mr. Shuman sat up Lt. Wilson observed five pills he later identified as Vicodin lying on the floor.

On 9 Nov 07 Lt. Wilson issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Chad A. Fugate, age 30, 13 Currier Street, Athens, for possession of marijuana. A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on US 50, Mr. Fugate had a bag of marijuana in his sock and admitted rolling papers in the vehicle belonged to him.

On 9 Nov 07 Sandra S. Wilson, age 57, 220 Wrights Road, Marietta, reported the driver of an unknown blue vehicle struck the front of her Buick Century while she was at work at Megabites at 27855 State Route 7, Marietta. The front fender of Ms. Wilson’s vehicle was heavily damaged and the front bumper nearly torn off completely. This incident remains under investigation (790).

On 9 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested a summons for Clarence W. Waite, age 78, 1250 Tabor Ridge Road, Stockport, for allowing animals to remain at large. Investigating a reported of a damaged yard at the residence of James H. Ball, age 60, 540 Tabor Ridge Road, Stockport, Deputy Rhodes observed three donkeys meandering about a nearby yard. Mr. Ball stated the animals escape frequently and he even accidentally hit one with his vehicle in February of this year.

On 9 Nov 07 Dean B. Ring, age 77, 2727 Gilbert Avenue NE, Canton, reported sometime during the past two weeks it appears a neighbor’s cattle escaped confinement, walked onto his vacation property at 336 Long Eddy Road in New Matamoras, defecated in the yard and knocked over a wishing well and a silver globe stand. This incident remains under investigation (790).

Larry W. Bishop, age 46, 18 Mayfair Drive, Mineral Wells, for breach of recognizance and for failing to appear to serve nine days in jail on 2 Nov 07.

Thomas J. Cline, age 32, 865 Smith Road, Marietta, for the theft of an Advantage Bank credit card on 15 Aug 07.

Mitchell J. Potts, age 31, 11700 Waterford Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license on 19 Oct 07.

Wayne Anthony Rhodes, 820 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, for failing to appear for pretrial on 6 Nov 07.

Erica D. Shafer, age 29, 6171 Polo Drive West, Columbus, for failing to appear for pretrial on 6 Nov 07.

Joshua C. Sinkfield, age 35, 111 Hart Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 6 Nov 07 and for obstructing justice on 28 Oct 07.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Michael Shuman, age 30, 821 Pike Street Apt. 21, Marietta, for possession of drugs and for having fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Shuman was arrested on State Route 7 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 1:20 am.

Celena Anne Hardie, age 27, 761 Buckeye Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hardie was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 2:30 am.

Herbert Leroy Nunn, age 32, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Nunn was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 2:50 am.

Mark Aaron McIntyre, age 25, 223 Broughton Avenue, Marietta, for two counts of felonious assault. McIntyre was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 12:35 pm.

Thomas Dwight McNabb, age 46, 885 Big Run Road, Beverly, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McNabb was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 1:29 pm.

Elmer George Zillier, age 66, 106 Franklin Street, Marietta, for sexual battery, a felony. Zillier was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 2:55 pm.

William Lee Pugh, age 59, 270 Ridgewood Court Apt. E, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Pugh turned himself in to Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 8:05 pm.

Felicia Christine Jackson, age 26, 300 Phillips Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her parole, a felony. Jackson was arrested at the Four Seasons in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 07 at 9:43 pm.
