On 8 Nov 07 an employee of East Lawn Memorial
Park, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, reported sometime during
the past four days two aluminum and two granite vases and four
upright headstones at the cemetery were broken. Over the same
time frame the employee also stated unknown persons stole a
bronze veteran’s grave marker. This case remains under
investigation (790).
On 8 Nov 07 an employee of AEP reported sometime
over the past week an unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in the
fence of the substation at 394 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta and
stole 250 feet of copper wire and six switch straps. This case
remains under investigation (296).
On 8 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a
minor misdemeanor citation to a seventeen year old Amesville
resident for possession of marijuana. During a lockdown at
Warren High School, Deputy Smeeks’ drug dog indicated
the presence of drugs in a vehicle in the parking lot. Identifying
the vehicle’s owner, Deputy Morris discovered the marijuana
in a duffel bag the vehicle owner said belonged to his girlfriend.
Deputy Morris questioned the teenager and she admitted the
duffel bag was hers and she was holding the marijuana for a
friend she declined to identify.

Herman J. Fickisen, age 47, 52 N. Fulton Avenue,
Newark, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear for a scheduled appointment on 23 Oct 07.
Julia A. Schwendeman, age 50, 1123 Pottmeyer Road, Fleming,
for an act of domestic violence committed on 6 Nov 07.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Rachella Suzanne Walker, age 30, 2610 Indian Run Road, Marietta,
for a felony charge of domestic violence and for misdemeanor
charges of disorderly conduct by fighting and failure to reinstate
her operator’s license. Walker was arrested at her residence
by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 12:30 am.
Alex Blake Johnson, age 18, 164 Mineral Park Estates, Mineral
Wells, for OVI and for operating without a license, both misdemeanors.
Johnson was arrested on State Route 7 near Acme Street by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 3:25 am.
Ian Robert Thacker, age 25, 1103 Beaverwood Court, Rockingham,
NC, for operating without a license and for theft, both misdemeanors.
Thacker was arrested near milepost ten on Interstate 77 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 4:00 am.
Phillip Dale West, age 20, 833 Second Street Lot 9, Marietta,
for identity theft and for forgery, both felonies. West was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 6:34 am.
Jordan Barrett Baker, age 25, 701 57th Street,
Vienna, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Baker was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at
9:13 am.
Donna Marie Jackson, age 35, 11A Milltown Road, Newport, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested at the
office of Probation Officer Willson and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 11:50 am.
Jonathon Mark Dexter, age 28, 44 Clinton Street, Athens, for
nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Dexter was picked
up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Nov 07 at 2:56 pm.
Robert Lee Trout, age 29, 3036 17th Street SW, Canton, for
a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and
misdemeanor charges of violating the terms of his probation
and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines. Trout was picked up in Stark County by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 8 Nov 07 at 6:09 pm.
